Just put some DUCT tape over it

Unfortunately I didn't get the leftovers from when I bought the trike. Good luck with the parts search.

I don't need new ones, pulled them, put in the Polks and was able to reuse them with a shot of 3M 77 adhesive spray. Are you working on the bike you picked up (stole) in Michigan ?

If you can't find the drawings for the hitch we can do some measuring when I drop off the windshield brackets I made for you. Maybe tomorrow evening.

Staying in the USA for the trip there. We might come home through Quebec, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Windsor after touring Vermont, New Hampshire & Maine. Or Plan B will be to come straight home USA roads, for a day or 2 then head north to the Upper Peninsula.

Any Michigan riders going to NY for the rally are welcome to join us for the trip. We will be leaving on Sunday July 22 in the AM. So far it's us and Carbon One. After the Rally heading to the northeast for awhile.

I bought a set of car tires off fleabay once, when I took them to get mounted the tire shop refused to mount them because of the dry rot cracking that only became visible when they put air in the first one. My battle with the fleabay vendor to return them consumed weeks of my time and fleabay getting involved. I insisted the vendor pay for return shipping, they refused for weeks until my flame war against them started cutting into their business until they relented and refunded my initial cost + return shipping charges. LESSON: There are some things you just don't buy from fleabay!

We have a Ball Python, it makes a great pet, they don't stink or make noise and best of all they don't leave surprises on the floor for you like canines sometimes do.

I need the part number for the rear Arm rest covers on my 2nd gen. I'm going to change out the rear speakers tomorrow and want to be prepared if I need new ones. What is the best way to remove the vinyl covers without destroying them ?

Have you been in some of the more off the beaten path areas and still been happy with reception?

From what I've read about the rooting of Android phones, being outdated shouldn't pose much of a problem, just install a newer version along with apps to suit you.

My Verizon contract is up and I'm considering switching to Straight Talk smart phones from Walmart. They offer unlimited everything for $45 a month. They also offer Android OS using either GSM or CDMA systems. Verizon is CDMA and they do have the best coverage out there. Does Straight Talk CDMA use the verizon towers ? I'm looking for opinions of Straight Talk cell phone users about how their coverage is with either GSM or CDMA phones when away from the big cities and interstates. My concern is not having a signal while riding the back roads.

I seem to have gained 3 mpg by going back to stock pipes, this was a combination of city, hwy driving, pulling a trailer a little and then flying a 3x5 flag at highway speeds during a Patriot Guard mission. The decel popping I had with the Samsons is gone.

If I remember correctly Tom does not have risers on his bike. I do and had to do THIS SEE POST #24
-
Now come on Larry, I know they didn't bother you ! 30 + years in a stamping plant took some of my hearing, I don't need all that LOUD on my trip finishing the job. The samson's WILL go back on when I get home. I have noticed that since I put the stockers back on I don't get decel popping anymore. As for MPG, I'm still working on my first full tank since the switch, I'll report back when I refill.

OK let's try this, since nobody got some fireworks. You, your bike and a man of the cloth. Rabbi, Priest, Nun.... you get the idea. Happy hunting.

Ever since I bought my bike it's had Samson pipes on it that are on the LOUD side, I pulled them off and put the stock pipes back on and now can hear the engine and road noise Things sure are quiet! I do have a little chirp coming from the clutch area, I don't think it's the whine so many complain about. Were planning about 3000 miles with the International Rally being the start and thought it would be nice to actually hear the radio and CB without having to wear ear plugs all the time.

You need an extension, swivel and 12mm socket to get at those nuts. Some of what you are hearing could be because the tabs that secure the ends of the windshield bracket are broken, there are several different ways to fix that, lots of info on the board for those repairs. I hope your vacation is going well in spite of the annoyances.
