  1. I live in an area with a lot of lakes and during the spring mating season there are turtles crossing the roads everywhere, they are thicker than the deer in fall. I must move at least 20 per year off the road, some alive, some not and that's only along the routes I travel often.
  2. try this link http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/70026822/
  3. Mine normally takes 4 - 4.5 gallons when the gauge starts counting down, I never pay attention to the low fuel light.
  4. Looked around at the link you posted hoping to find one of those watertight containers for my 765T GPS. I wonder if the Zumo 660 they say fits will work for me ?
  5. I use chrome and it only shows the HTML in the text editor but shows the icon when you post.
  6. Carl, The only thing worse than the wrath of the Mods is the wrath of their wives when I send you those pictures.
  7. The GPS was sold new as part of Suzuki Automotive's Nav package. Seems Suzuki made garmin change the way safe mode behaves so it won't let you disable safe mode while moving. I Think I'll need to call garmin tech support to try and change this, unless someone else has an idea.
  8. No, I don't turn the unit off, I turn off the safe mode that prevents you from doing most inputs while moving. If you go to settings>security, the right button option is for safe mode, you have 2 choices, on or off, I select off then ok ( must be done before moving)and return to the main map screen then if I try to input a via point or new destination it says safe mode enabled, and won't let me do what I want while moving.
  9. Looks like more fun than a barrel of monkeys We were at St. Anthony's, Idaho sand dunes on quads a couple years ago, some of those dunes were scary steep but what a rush when you top em Search St Anthonys dunes on utube
  10. I love everything about the new to me 765T EXCEPT the safe mode feature. I turn it off after it boots up and before moving, but it keeps turning itself back on. Is there a way to turn it off permanently ?
  11. With the Mods we have !!! NO WAY, I don't want to get banned and loose my $12 investment
  12. THE TOILET SEAT My wife, Julie, had been after me for several weeks to paint the seat on our toilet. Finally, I got around to doing it while Julie was out. After finishing, I left to take care of another matter before she returned. She came in and undressed to take shower. Before getting in shower, she sat on toilet. As she tried to stand up, she realized the not-quite-dry epoxy paint had glued her to toilet seat. About that time, I got home and realized her predicament. We both pushed and pulled without any success whatsoever. Finally, in desperation, I undid toilet seat bolts. Julie wrapped sheet around herself and I drove her to hospital emergency room. The ER Doctor got her into position where he could study how to free her (Try to get mental picture of this.). Julie tried to lighten embarrassment of it all by saying, "Well, Doctor, I'll bet you've never seen anything like this before." The Doctor replied, "Actually, I've seen lots of them...... I just never saw one mounted and framed."
  13. Yes they are cooler......Than my first mini-bike
  14. probably just wanted to reassure himself that 2nd Gens are the best of the 2 by far.

  17. My daughter and her boyfriend just went on their first mission with me last weekend. It was an escort mission for KIA SGT Kyle B. McClain, God Bless this American hero. The kids were amazed when we left the ANG base and the roads were lined with soldiers standing at attention. They said they were truly humbled by the experience. I think they'll be doing more missions in the future.
  18. Hoping for a speedy recovery.
  19. There are several different part numbers but they all will be like this. Here ya go
  20. +1 Skydoc's kit has what you'll need usually, if it does not have a shim you need most dealer service departments will swap you shim for shim .
  21. Glad to hear you had a great ride. It was a pleasure meeting you at the rally and I'm still jealous of the trip into the northeast. I had the same thing happen with my clutch coming out of Red Lodge,Mt. a few years back, it was a good thing I had practiced up and down shifting without using the clutch before I had to use that skill. I look forward to seeing some of your pictures.
  22. I TOLD YA SO
  23. John, when you set something up with Jbird let me know, the dragon on the back of the trike is smeared, don't know if he did it while painting or someone else did it after he finished and it was moved into Pioneers garage for the night. I'd like to get it touched up.
  24. Well then park down the road from the sign and have them hop on for the ride to the sign, this would technically make them a passenger.
  25. You drive a hard bargain..... but OK, I'll meet your terms
