  1. DON'T WASH YOUR HAIR IN THE SHOWER! It's so good to finally get a health warning that is useful! IT INVOLVES THE SHAMPOO WHEN IT RUNS DOWN YOUR BODY WHEN YOU SHOWER WITH IT - A WARNING TO US ALL! I don't know why I didn't figure this out sooner. I use shampoo in the shower! When I wash my hair, the shampoo runs down my whole body, and printed very clearly on the shampoo label is this warning: "FOR EXTRA BODY AND VOLUME." No wonder I have been gaining weight! Well, I have gotten rid of that shampoo, and I am going to start showering with Dawn dish soap instead. Its label reads: "DISSOLVES FAT THAT IS OTHERWISE DIFFICULT TO REMOVE." Problem solved! If I don't answer the phone, I'll be in the shower.
  2. Bob,Larry is gonna love those rear brakes, they haul you down real quick.
  3. My wife and i both ride, Jeannie was on 2wheels for years , when she started to feel uneasy in the turns we sold her Honda 750 and bought her a RSV hannigan trike. She now rides more than she ever did on two wheels .
  4. Good to hear that the Doctor is happy, but I also hope you're happy with the end result. Better a carrot than a watermelon !
  5. I've heard rumors that most 1st Gen owners also still have coal fired furnaces in their homes and push reel mowers
  6. I would normally agree with you, until I read that darkside tire post today, that would almost qualify as "Too much info" My brain hurt after reading the whole post

You're always welcome up here and as long as I clear it with the "Boss" in advance, we probably have a room for ya. She don't like surprises
  8. My '01 had 54000 miles when the valves were checked, 5 were out of spec to the tight side, 4 of the 5 were exhaust valves. I replaced the carb boots at the same time, they looked bad but none were cracked all the way through. The inner metal sleeve does not run the entire length, there is a 3/4" area in the center that's rubber only, I'd guess to isolate vibration. A valve adjustment is typically out of the scope of a Maintenance day project at Don's unless you can get some members to commit to helping, it's at least an all day job, could be longer. You need to find someone to fix your mechanic, because his advice is out of adjustment !

  10. Lot's of info to absorb there! Still, in spite of all that scientific data, why don't you ever hear of a darksider losing a bead seal during hard cornering ? Given the data presented you'd think it would be somewhat common for a CT to unseat when mounted to a MC wheel.
  11. That guy is a good driver! He had a good eye for the lines.. Makes me miss my buggies

  15. We prepare our own taxes with the help of Turbo Tax software , The first few years we did so we also used an accountant , just to compare bottom lines , both ways came out almost identical so we've been using turbotax ever since. The accountant charged us 200 or so, way more than the difference in what our return was.
