  1. We were in Sturgis back in 2010 the week after the rally, it was a ghost town. All the crowds and crazies were long gone and you could ride your own ride. We spent the 2 weeks before the rally touring Montana,Wyoming & Idaho. I've been to Daytona for bike week and biketoberfest that was enough to convince me I didn't want to be in Sturgis during bike week. I enjoy a large group ride like a PGR mission, but not a rally with 200000+ with half that have had too much to drink !
  2. Like Creole said, My 2 favorites are .38 snubbie or a good .40 both are easy carry, although the .38 may be a little small for you Joe. Go to the range and shoot a variety of revolvers and auto's, you'll know what feels right and shoots well for you. Also after you've found what feels right, try it in several different style holsters because if it's not comfortable to carry you'll just end up leaving it home. to Gunbroker , GunsAmerica and armslist.com All great resources. Seeing as you are so close to the border, you may want to head south and pick up one of those Fast & Furious freebies
  3. That's Michigan for ya, everything cost's more here it seem's. Crappy roads that beat your vehicles to death. Insurance companies that are protected by state government. They hit every vehicle owner in the state with a $175 fee per vehicle & cycle for their Michigan Catastrophic accident fund, it pays for long term/lifetime care of people involved in serious "motor vehicle" accidents, letting the Ins. Co's off the hook, of course motorcycles are not considered "motor vehicles" by state statue, so if I were to have an accident that did not involve a "motor vehicle" I could not get payment from the fund, yet MC's are accessed the $175 fee anyway. On my 2 cars and 2 bikes I pay $700 just for that one Fee ! + the cost to insure. And now the Governor wants to triple our registration fees and add 30 cents to our gas tax. That would be my tipping point where I sell everything and move out of this state. I'm tired of getting my pocket picked by state and federal government.
  4. 9mm at walmart right now. Call me if you want some. Number in profile.
  5. You ride a Cadillac... you pay for a Cadillac
  6. Last time I checked them, they didn't insure in Michigan. I'll check again. Well, I checked them, they do write in Mi. Their online quote on the '08 RSV Hannigan was over $900 ! I don't pay that for both bikes right now. Thanks.
  7. When John and Mary first got married John said, “I am a sex addict and I’m putting a box under the bed to help control my addiction. You must promise never to look in it.” In all their 30 years of marriage Mary never looked. However, on the afternoon of their 30th anniversary, curiosity got the best of her and she lifted the lid and peeked inside. In the box were 3 empty beer cans and $81,874.25 in cash. She closed the box and put it back under the bed. Now that she knew what was in the box, she was doubly curious as to why there even was such a box with such contents. That evening they were out for a special Anniversary dinner. After dinner Mary could no longer contain her curiosity and she confessed, saying, “I am so sorry. For all these years I kept my promise and never looked into the box under our bed. However, today the temptation was too much and I gave in. But now I need to know why do you keep the 3 beer cans in the box?” John thought for a while and said, “I guess after all these years you deserve to know the truth. Whenever I was unfaithful to you I put an empty beer can in the box under the bed to remind myself not to do it again.” Mary was shocked, but said, “Hmmm, Jennifer, Paula and Monica. I am very disappointed and saddened by your behavior. However since you are addicted to sex, I guess it does happen and I guess 3 times is not that bad considering your problem.” John thanked her for being so understanding. They hugged and made their peace. A little while later Mary asked John, so why do you have all that money in the box? John answered; “Well, whenever the box filled up with empty cans, I took them to the recycling center and redeemed them for cash”
  8. I am getting insurance quotes from Foremost Ins. Co. , I'm looking to replace the Progressive policies on both bikes. Does anyone have comments on Foremost Ins. good or bad ? The politics of Progressive's owner/parent company are driving this change. I'm also dumping Bank of America for the same reasons.
  9. Will they be making SNOW for us on the hill ? I need to know so I can figure out how to carry our Toboggan on the trailer.

  17. Hills in Eastern Canada I KNOW, Michigan ain't much better. Jeannie's car shares the garage with 4 bikes, our 69 GS and my 47 Diamond T. My Jeep has never been able to sleep inside. But, that's ok, I just let the remote start get the Jeep ready for travel.
  18. Mission details are on the PGR confirmed mission page. The first part is tomorrow I think.
  19. I've looked for chains or snow tires couldn't find either
  20. I guess you could do that, probably easier with the trike body. Wouldn't be easy getting to the connection at the bottom of the antenna. I was thinking 2 wheeler like I have.
  21. looking back at that link, thats wrong. What I was looking for was what Daveand Barbie posted above. Sorry
  22. I was told to hook it up at the antenna end of the cable, you need the trunk mounted to get a true reading. your pic is the wrong end of the cable.
  23. It does. Thank You. Let me know how much you need for it and shipping. Paypal or snail mail? No worry on the time, all the white stuff has the bike being held prisoner in the garage right now anyway .
  24. I don't know who would hurt him worse, Patty or Don !
