ok bottom line..he needs about $250 more after brscooters pledge......so the way i see it if 50 people will send $5 more .......they make it.....and bobbie gets her tat:rasberry: Money is extremely tight for us right now and we did make a small donation of what we could afford right now........... I am willing to throw in a little more to help make the goal......... I will be the #1 person of the 50 to send $5 more........ I challenge you all to follow............ LETS GO !!! think about it..........it would only mean giving up a pack of cigarettes,,,, a couple sundays from dairy queen ( ouch)..a 6 pack of beer...or a gallon and a half of gas to help save a childs life..........$5 seems minimal in those terms doesnt it? What if it was your child or grandchild fighting for their life?? would you give up $5 for that??

well that was a waste of time.......kind of figured..... hearing continued...oct 21 9 am..........have a feeling we will go thru months of this. When they brought him in..........he sat and looked around the court room.......i know he saw me sitting there and i just glared....some attorney then was in front of him so that was about it til he got called up.....he did look like he had aged about 10 yrs. nowhere did i see anyone from his family present.....granted it was a nothing appearance but you would think someone would have been there...:whistling: the court room was very small and very crowded, most people had to stand....they just called people one by one.it was all kind of silly and very hard to hear. nothing was said about his bond reduction motion. ive never been thru anything like this...why do they drag it on and on for months on end with nothing happening? guess all i can do is let go a big *sigh* that at least i know he will sit and rot for another month. I just want him to pay and to get on with our life and its hard when all u do is wait and wait.

leaving shortly for court.i dont think anything significant will go down today...i believe its basically for him to have to make an apearance...im kind of notted up with the thought of seeing him for the first time since that night and i hope Dale is able to control himself when he sees him. Probably no real reason for us to be there other than the fact i want him to have to see us.....to see the looks on our faces.......to feel our presence....i imagine they will set a court date for his bond reduction motion. let ya all know what happens.

and top off the day with a ride!!. One of Haylies friends invited her to church tonight so Dale and had a few hrs alone and went on the first ride we have taken together since he had his shoulder surgery. we scooted around for about an hour and a half.....stopped for frozen custard of course. Felt soooo good to ride........but i will admit and i told Dale also i was a little tense..guess its that paranoia that so many things have gone wrong whats next.... thats something im gonna have to work on

BACA made their adoption visit today.....what an awesome group of people....H was a little overwhelmed at first but warmed right up..they all were very exceptional with her....she met her 2 special friends who are available for her any time needed. They gave her a vest with her new biker name....and brought her some gifts also.....a new barbie doll, a jump rope, bubbles, crayons, a Harley teddy bear and a few other little diddys. KC has about 140 members and Id say we had a good 30 of them here today. They had H look at all their bikes and pick which one she wanted to take a ride on ( noone had a side car today) all i can say is.....nope she didnt end up on a harley ...but she wound up on a wing... Of course daddy went along on the ride they took her on.. i was really kind of kind surprised to see that while they were here they kind of like secured our property......there was always one of them at each end of our property out by the road...one of them even had his bike on the perps property !!! and of course the local pd came by...they had to see what was going on....:rotfl:a lot of neighbors were checking it all out too when all them noisey bikes came thundering in.... Here are the pics i snapped.

no he isnt married, but he was at one time........i believe he also has a grown daughter, but i have never seen her over there, nor have i ever heard then make mention of her other than he has a daughter. the problem is that he lives there in his parents house. It is not his house. yeah a 53 yr old drunk who still lives with mommy and daddy and he does nothing to help them out either....like mowing, or stuff around the house. He is a small sickly man, (has health issues) and I could whoop his a** if need be.....:whistling: As of yesterday he has been in jail for a month now.....and lets hope he never sees light of day again. Im sure hes been thru alcohol withdrawal by now and is probably kicking himself for confessing when they arrested him. Im still hoping and praying that it never ends up going to trial.....but there is also no way i will ever agree to a plea bargain either unless he is going to pay dearly. I still have to sit down and write a victims impact statement for the prosecutor....telling how this has affected our lives...i havent been able to put myself thru that yet but i know i need to get it done. I did write a letter for the hearing on his bond reduction and hopefully it helps with that. I will be sure to let you all know what happens or doesnt happen on tuesday.its going to be tough to see him that day and hold back the anger and emotions. -

some good news for once ! The detectives called me today and informed me that the little boy has now said that what was said before invloving us is NOT TRUE! What a relief as we were seriously contemplating getting a lawyer......the detective even told me that in his opinion ( which he said he doesnt like to say anything) definately wasnt necessary. However.....isnt there always something negative to it all? they are still concerned that something may have happened to this boy....and are asking for our help in trying to put together what may have or could have happened. The whole story has taken a turn and now they are strongly checking out the possibilty that he could have been at the mans house also, maybe even with haylie. He could not tell me specifics but by the questions asked i knew where it is going now.... I sincerely hope nothing happened to this boy, but he is definately getting ideas, if you will, from somewhere. We will do anything to help that we can, but its definately hard to let go of what they did to us by raising questions and accusations . I guess this is where forgiveness comes in which is a real hard issue right now. It also is a problem because the story keeps changing. So what will become of this I dontknow right now.....its been my fear that this guy has done this before and i sincerely am hoping that there werent more instances that invloved Haylie. I asked if they wanted me to question Haylie about whether her and the little boy had ever been over there together, but both detectives would rather i not.....they dont want to cloud her mind or memory in any way to hurt our case which they again said was a strong good case. There is a hearing on Tuesday at 9 am.....not sure if its just for the bond reduction issue or what, but please keep praying that they dont let it be reduced so he can not get out and be back right next door to us.that would be devastating to Dale and I to deal with that. For now I am relieved that the little boy told the truth about us and haylie. It's scarey guys, when you are victims of a crime and it gets turned around on you and you become part of the questions. -
awesome! so great to hear a good news story for once.........so glad you have been able to turn your life around and are headed down a much healthier path. Keep up the good work and im sending prayers for continued improvement ! Thanks also for sharing with us ! You look terrific!

my oldest daughter who was just here visiting flew home yesterday ( she lives in the cleveland, north olmsted area in ohio) got home to find no electricity...everything in her freezer had thawed...she emailed me from work this afternoon and is still without power. They say it could be several days til they get everyone back up. So be gald you got yours back Don. Im just glad when ike swept up to the north it went east of us because we had been thru 5 straight days of heavy rain before that. I thought we were gonna have to build an ark!

I will make sure i take some pictures saturday. I know that St Judes has kind of become the pet place forr us to make donations to but may I suggest that maybe sometime in the future we think about possibly trying something to raise a donation for BACA? I know they can use all the help they can get for all they do for the kids and they are trying to build a place out in utah on some donated property for a safe place for parents and the kids to just get away from everything for a few days where they help the parents and the kids with coping skills and training. A sort of safe haven to relax . Just something to think about.

well thanks for all the tries........but Haylie being rather bull headed like her father.... decided she didnt like any of these.... she picked her own name........which is Kitt'N Baca is coming over as a larger group on saturday to adopt her.....they showed us a video and talked to us . She will have two members that are her main contacts that will always be available for her or go to court with her if that happens, etc. They even have a couple of the riders who have side cars on their bikes and they will let her ride with them or give her a bike escort ride to court etc. She thinks thats pretty cool. I seriously think that maybe after we get thru this all Dale and I may consider joining BACA. And those who mentioned in my first post about BACA wondering about canada having a branch, they told us that they are just starting in Canada. This is an awesome group and i wouldnt hestitate to suggest it to anyone who loves kids and hates child abuse of any kind to check out getting involved and being a part of making kids feel safe and loved

BACA is coming tonight to meet Haylie and give us some more info. they would like to have a biker name for her to be known as....only 1 person, the child Liaison, from baca will know her real name or the the specifics of what happened to her. I need some ideas for a name....i cant think of anything..... I believe they are going to give her a vest and i dont know if they put her name on it or not. heading out to get her from school and then to therapy will check in when we get back and see if ya all had any ideas...... thanks for the help !!
