leave it to me to manage to piss off the APA......... without goin into detail......some of the things( i posted about this the other day) he told me pertaining to the weakness of our case didnt sit right with me......so of course i went and spoke with the detective from the local LE...and found out some things he said were wrong....which upset the local leo's which in turn called the APA..... (this is the one that took over because the other is on maternity leave.) anyways now today after letting me know he was upset..:8:and that his relationship with my local pd is tarnished... he told me he is just filling in and the other will take back over when she returns in may.....hmm ya know what, if i could make him mad by this and he would turn it back to her....then this makes me feel like maybe he wouldnt have fought hard enough for us... I spoke to our advocate this afternoon and she told me not to worry about it.....I told her they all need to realize i am not going to be a passive bystander, if something doesnt sit right I WILL check it out....I told her, this is just his job, but its my life! oh well.....i guess im starting to believe maybe i am a

and without mentioning any names.......you will know who u are.......thank you for talking with me tonight and helping me to better understand things. I cried after we hung up, not sure why but it released a lot of stress. You helped more than u know and in the end it has made me feel better about our decision as to what to do. I really think i can be at peace about it now. maybe ill send u a pretty thong to add to your collection to show my appreciation...

hey now.........be careful allan... i cant commit to anything right now......dale cant take any time off work til June, so if we were to come over for this it probably wouldnt be til friday night or even staurday morning...but at least we could be there for the BBQ.. and with Haylie along I guess if dale brought the bike, Id have to volunteer to stay at bills during the ride saturday and help get the food ready or something to keep out of trouble.

thats what i said today......70 yr olds and older still do these things to little girls....and chances are she wasnt the first.....i just dont understand the laws.........i think a lot of it has to do with overpopulations ,etc in the system. I need to start writing to jefferson city i guess....... my other agenda is to go speak to the local leo's and let them know they have got to start video taping all confessions......ALL! on a lighter note tho......the pa mentioned his pecking order in prison.....and i mentioned i know quite a few CO's that i wish were here in Missouri...I asked what his chances of being transferred out of state are........:rotf:

i guess im just feeling sort of let down right now.....I expected more and wanted more...... the pa said if we want to go to trial and fight it all he would go for it......but after hearing everything today this appears to be the best route to go for haylie. Dale was accepting of this before i was.....guess he had a clearer picture of the system than i did..... to me it should all be clear cut and the ink dry..... my thoughts are that in 12 or 14 yrs haylie will have come of age to understand it all and realize what happened......I need him to spend enough time behind bars for her to come to that point...where we know how it will really affect her.

awesome..........but dont let dale read this..he has always wanted to get his pilots license. glad to see a boy following his dreams, too many of us never did that !

got a call yesterday that they want to meet with us finally. Up until now it has been solely contact with our victims advocate. The ada in charge of our case went on maternity leave so another ada has took over and he wanted to meet with us. Wants to go over the strong and weak points to our case and find out where we stand on an offer to the perp to keep from going to trial and having to put haylie thru that. This is a hard one, how much would you be willing to give? Im really torn on this. His prison time should be as devastating to him as his act was upon her and us. I feel the need for him to still be locked away when the day comes that she understands and starts to have to deal with what happened to her. Ive been doing a lot of reading and some talking with with other vicitims ( from some forums)and the impact its had on them as they aged and had to come to terms with it all. Its not a pretty outcome many times. They also said we may have to delay trial because of the dna retest not being back in time. This upsets me also...i want it over. Being that the trial is scheduled for June 1st.......we had planned to deal with it all and then head to ohio for much needed relaxing, unwinding and enjoy MD for the rest of the week. Motions are all due by next friday so we will be at a hearing that day at 5...and there is the motion hearing itself scheduled for the next fri at 9 I'll update you all after we meet today..have a 4:00 appt with him.

I did check with PA's office and spoke to our advocate......and no they didnt want me to see the report and the perps statement simply because I will be testifying. They are afraid if i see it and then am asked how i prepared for trial and the jury, etc found out i had seen "everything" it would mar my own testimony about what happened. They did send us a copy of the probable cause statement..( which allowed them to get a warrant for his arrest)...let me tell you...it really was hard to see some of the description of what happened written in black and white with the perps acceptance of said statements...Especially for Dale....he got the mail and found it first.... I never have been able to describe it all to him, word for word, and i think maybe he just didnt grasp everything i did tell him, because he was really upset when he read it. I was very glad to see the statement that he was read his miranda rights before agreeing to it tho.......i know i was told this but seeing it here makes it more definate in my mind. They did promise me I would be able to see the entire report after trial.....

thanks for the answers guys...... yes i have an advocate at the pa office.......I just have never asked her if i could see the report. I have to go out of town to go to their office, but thought if i had the right to view the report id just stop in the local police office. micarl i think maybe u are right.....i better ask my advocate first before i do anything, i would never forgive myself if i screwed up anything on this case. I am expecting to have to meet with the pa soon anyways....motions are due at hearing in a little over 2 weeks and the next week is the motion hearing.so 2 court dates coming up shortly.... before all h*** breaks loose........ does anyone know the fury of a "mother scorned" ????????????

Am I allowed to go up to the local police dept and see and read thru the police report from our case? Including the perps statement? I have not done this up to this point and I am now ready and wanting to read it... I just want to know before i go up there asking, want to make sure what my rights are on this in case they dont want to show it to me. can anyone tell me anything about this?
