  6. I enjoyed the Video. Too bad we missed seeing one another in the Black Hills. We got a taste of Texas hospitality a few years ago. We met Squidley and many other great members. A tribute to every member on here.
  7. Hello Puc: sad we did not get connected. Patrolman46 and Babe left Custer this morning. We are all back home 4 hours South. Let us know if you head South.
  8. We left the Black Hills Yesterday. Wish we could have met up. Let us know if you head south from the Blacks hills. Hwy 385/71.

  10. Hello Everyone: Lee and I made a quick overnight trip to the Black Hills and back for the 4th. We met up with Patrolman46 and Babe in Custer. We had all been invited by a Canadian couple (Rod & Myrna) that we met in Cody a few years ago to meet up with them and two other Canadian couples over the 4th. We had a blast!!!! More motorcycle memories in the books.
  11. Prayers to his family. May our biker brother rest in peace.

  15. We sure had a great time in Cody. Sure hated to miss the Venturewest rally.
  16. Several weeks ago before we had to cancel our trip I invited Vstar1320 to ride out with us. However Lori had just changed employers and felt she could not make the trip. Ironic how things turned out. We cancelled and Lori ended up in Oregon unexpectedly for family reasons. As she was leaving The Dalles this morning she caught an unexpected glimpse of several VR members as they were about to head out for the day. She sent me a text with a picture of the members this morning. Really made me wish we could have made the trip. If ai can figure out how to post the picture I will. I think I spotted alone Eagle?
  17. Hello Brian: Please keep us posted on your Sturgis trip itinerary. I encourage everyone that makes the trip to try the meet and great breakfast. We met Brian, BJ66 and others a couple of years ago. Great time.
  18. Get well soon.
  19. I agree with all the previous comments. I installed the Skydoc clutch upgrade kit this year with RogerII looking over my shoulder. If you do not find another member to help. Contact Skydoc ahead of time to see that he is available and go for it! Great confidence booster! You will need a small torque wrench and a set of Allen wrenches.
  20. Hello: I attended a fund raising event for a fellow local rider yesterday. We live in a rural area with a very low violent crime rate. However none of is immune to random acts of violence. 60 days ago this local rider age 42 and his wife went to supper at a newly opened restaurant in a tiny Wyoming town nearby. As they were leaving, an intoxicated man attempted to rob the man. The victim was shot in the back and is now paralyzed from the waist down. His employer, coworkers and friends put on a benefit yesterday. Well attended, lots raffle prizes including his prize 1980 Honda Goldwing. Local businesses donated piles of prizes. Dispute the circumstances the victim was able to attend. Smiling and thankful to be alive. It makes me thankful to live in this caring region. A reminder that life can change in a moment.
  21. I learned a lot by reading this post. I recently installed a longer front brake line. Got along along fine. Bleeding with a syringe worked but was a two man process. Since then I ordered speed bleeders for the entire bike and a vacuum pump. Ready to tackle replacing the clutch and rear brake lines now. I think another Colorado Wyoming and Western NE. Maintenance day is in the works.
