Phoneman1981 replied to muaymendez1's topic in Watering Hole
With friends like us you do not need any enemies! Before I discovered this site, I had money. Now I am broke buying chrome and safety things at the suggestion of my VR friends. Loving every minute of it. Spend away!!!! -
Sunday 5/29/11 Wayde called me again this morning. He made it to relatives in Longmont CO. late last night. He loves the VR support he gets along his way to MD. Wish I could go with him...Mark

Hello Everyone: Wayde (67mini67) is enroute to Freebirds MD. He left Eastern Washington on Friday. He plans to stop here in Nebraska for lunch on Monday. I was pleased that he checked in with me last night about 4:00 PM. He was in Rock Springs WY at the time (775 miles). He still had 300 miles to go before his two night stop in Longmont. CO. He was doing fine dispite running in cool wet weather the entire way, even encountered temps in the mid 30's and snow at elevations above 6000 feet. I look forward to meeting Wayde on Monday. Hoping to add MD to my plans for next years travels. Ride safe everyone...Mark:)

Enjoy your time off and good luck with you eye surgery. I had the same procedure 15 years ago at age 33. Cataracts on both eyes. Surgery resolved my issues. Take care.

Glad you got to ride and also spend time with your girls.

High speed rides in cages and on motorcycles are very dangerous to everyone. He was lucky. I hope his sentence is stiff. Otherwise the next time we read about him will be in the obituary section of the newspaper.

Hello Everyone: It is so early in the riding season here in Nebraska, been cold and wet. I heard last weekend about a biker from a nearby town that struck a deer while riding his motorcycle. I am saddened to learn he passed away due to his injuries. Although I did not know the biker, my heart goes out to his family. He was one us. Ride safe...

Looking at 2006 RSTD

Hello: Do not be surprised if the speedometer is not accurate. Many owners seem to notice this same issue. My Speedo is off 7 mph at 65 miles per hour. If my speedo shows 65, I am really only going 57 mph. Degree varies depending on your speed. The faster you go the more it is off. More accurate at slower speeds. Some owners have installed a Speedohealer to correct the problem. Otherwise I like my bike more every day! -
