Hello Everyone: I hope this post finds everyone well. The snow cover finally left for a bit. A few 70 degree teaser days arrived. Allowing me the ability to move my bike to my employers heated shop. I have always wanted grab handles for my young Grandson to hold on to. After months of searching I finally found an RSV rack, side rails and grab handles. I was on call all weekend and could not Venture far. So I removed my Harley trunk and Wompus rack and installed the RSV rack. Mounted the grab handles and trunk. Very pleased with the outcome. Enjoyed turning wrenches with the 9 year old. Patrolman46 stopped by to chat during the process. Come on Spring!!!!!

I cannot likely make it this year. But I did suggest your event to a new member 300 miles away from you.

Great to hear this news. My wife had the procedure a few years ago. Size 22 to a size 6 now. Lifestyle change. No more Blood Pressure meds. Good luck.

I ran into another local rider today at Cabela's in Sidney NE. Chatted about the upcoming riding season. He mentioned that last fall he intended to take a ride on his 97 RSTD. However he discovered that his petcock gasket failed, leaked the entire fuel tank contents into the carbs and flooded the cylinders and crankcase. Is this a common problem? Good reason to turn off the petcock when stored? He indicated he was going to have the local dealer look at it. Thoughts, ideas.....

I was already a member of the FB page. Really did not realize the FB page was connected to the VR site. I did recognize a few of the members real names. Glad I am a member of both.

So glad you both were not seriously injured.

Brad: This extended family is amazing. It is nice to know that others care. You have done so much to help myself and others on this site. Well deserved. Patrolman46 and I are looking forward to another trip to Texas early next year. Anxious to see our friends.

Hello: I plan to install RSV fender rails, trunk rack and grab handles on my RSTD. -
Thanks to everyone for the help. I was not in any rush and found a set of rails on eBay today. Replacing my Wompus rack with an RSV rack this winter. Anxious to install my grab rails for the grandson to use.

Phoneman1981 replied to Jimbob66's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Hello: Same story here. All was good several weeks ago. Went to ride on Sunday dead battery. Looks like my 4 year old DEKA AGM failed. I intend to support one of our valuable member vendors here on the site. Click on classifieds, click on member vendors, click on Skydoc_17, scroll down to battery. Choose the appropriate battery. Pay. Shipped to your door step. Earl is a Great guy!!! -
Hello Phil: I am not sure that there is a standard height on handle bars. It is not difficult to adjust your bars. If I remember correctly. Remove your quick detach windshield. Cover your tank with a towel to protect it. Then remove the speedometer (3 bolts I think) I then either lay the speedometer off to the side or I may have unplugged it completely and set it aside. Simply loosen the bolts and adjust your bars to fit you. ( Having a second person to assist is helpful. I hope this helps...Mark
