Hello: Does anyone here on the site have experience with a Nissan Murano? Time to replace my wife's vehicle, she found a one owner local trade at one of our local car dealerships. 2004 with 79K. Excellant condition, SL model with many nice features, new tires. $11,000 is their bottom dollar. We kept it overnight, seems very nice. Runs good, very comfortable. Grandson of course liked the rear overhead DVD entertainment center. Thoughts and advice appreciated....

Hello Everyone: Last weekend, Graderman46 and I escaped for a short ride. Dan rode his "Work Bike" stock 06 RSTD. We stopped about 20 miles north of town and swapped bikes. It was interesting to finally see my own bike from the rear. Made me appreciate the lighting improvements. By the time I got back to town, my neck was on fire!!! I was missing my Flanders Bars, Butler seat mod. and Utopia backrest. Dan got to test ride a modified bike and compare also. Sure is nice having friends!!!!!

It appears to me that the OEM 150/90 HR15 for the RSTD is bit hard to find? From internet application charts it looks like Tire Size:MV85B15 is what is offered now? I found Avon Venom "H" rated and also Elite 3's for about the same $192 What do you think? Dealer other than the Yamaha dealer offered to install the new tire (on the bike) and grease the splines for $50. Your input is appreciatated. Thanks

Hello Everyone: Thanks for your input. Interesting. New orthodics, shots and meds did not help much. What seems to have given me the most relief is to wear splints at night. I am slowly getting better.

Congrats to everyone!

Anyone here in this extended family ever suffer from heal spurs? In early 2011 at the age of 47, I began noticing that my feet especially my heels ached very badly at the end of the day and again first thing in the morning. I was diagnosed with Plantar Faciitis/Heel spurs. New orthodics in my shoes and Cortisone shots helped some and got me through the Cody rally, but things turned for the worse as the year went on. I suffered everyday, especially at work. Now after almost a year I am finally getting some relief. Just wondered if anyone else might be dealing with the same intense pain?

Hello: Sooner or later everyone that rides eventually will end up in a low fuel situation. Unpredictable weather , road detours or just plain human error can lead to a crisis. It pays to stay alert. Keep an eye on the gas gauge. I rely on the trip meter and in familiar territory I try not exceed 125-150 miles before filling my RSTD. My son in law is a wildland fire fighter, he turned me onto "Sig" bottles. Each firefigher carries (2) 20oz bottles in their back pack to provide fuel for their chain saws. I have been carrying one in each saddle bag ever since. So far I have not had to use them, but I feel safer with them than without them. I keep fresh fuel in my bottles as often as I can, I usually empty them into the lawn mower fuel tank and refill them from the 2 gal. mower gas can. I add a cap full of stabil to each bottle and place them back in my saddle bags. Works for me..

Hello: I got the horn and the pipes installed. I even had time to install a 12v accessory plug on the handlebars. Very pleased with the new items so far. I managed to get in a 20 mile ride. hurry up spring!!

Hello Everyone: As most of you know, our 05 RSTD was heavily smoke damaged about a year ago. While it was in the shop for restoration, I decided to have new tires installed. The PO had Metzler 880's on it. I did not do any research. I trusted my dealer to guide me. He installed Dunlop 404's. $611 total for tires and labor. We enjoyed 7,000 miles of two up riding last year. I noticed yesterday while installing new pipes that the rear tire is worn more than I expected. I am not unhappy. $300 for an entire season of fun is cheap entertainment. I guess I expected the tire to last more than one season?? I see by many other posts that 7-12K is the norm? I might be able to go another $2500 miles, but really do not want to risk it. What are your thoughts, experiences and suggestions on brand, size etc. I appreciate your input. I have read good things about E3's. Thanks in advance

Hello Brian: Thanks for posting. Sad news. Ride in peace.

I agree that the Ncom system fits the Nolan helmets really well. Pricey$$$. A bike to bike intercom would be nice at times, but not everyone has Nolan helmets.

Hello: ROTFl:rotf:Waffle house chains are not common in our area. I stopped at a Waffle house in Kansas a few years ago. The waitress had her back to me when I sat down at the counter. When she turned around to greet me, the first thing that came to my mind was a song that Allan Jackson wrote about a marrying a "Waitress missing her front tooth". I wanted to give Allan a call and tell him where she was.

Hello Everyone: Forecast in Western Nebraska today is calling for 40 degrees and some light snow possible. Now that the Holidays are over, I have the urge to work on my bike some. I have a Carbon One horn bracket/harness and Stebel horn to install as well as a set of Bub pipes. Hoping to get to them this weekend!!!
