  1. We have had a few nice days this season, however raining now and 4-6 inches of wind driven snow tonight. Another Mother's Day blizzard. One of several over the years here in W. Nebraska. Someone please take a ride for me.
  2. Thanks for sharing. Could happen to anyone at anytime. Heal well.
  3. I have this site to thank for me finding a new best friend that only lived 30 miles from me. We talk daily. Ride often. We have met many members in person. Attended maintenance days 1200 miles from home. Holding our 2nd annual maintenance day here in our region in a few weeks. I owe all if this to this wonderful site and it's members.
  4. Sorry to hear about your accident. But so glad you were not injured seriously. Keep us posted on the saga.
  5. I hope this note finds my VR friends well. Unusually mild weather recently in W. Nebraska has brought out the bikes. 82 degrees yesterday but windy. Dangerous time of the year. Still some sand and gravel in spots. Cagers not used to seeing motorcycles yet. Nearby Colorado has already had 16 accidents and 8 fatalities. Lots more traffic on the CO front range. I had a memorial service to attend yesterday. Wife asked if we could take the bike!!! I am so lucky!! 200 miles yesterday. Warm and WINDY on the way home. Looking forward to VR events this season and meeting more of our fine members. Be sure to let us know if you venture our way. Looks like We will make Sturgis again this year.
  6. Just saw this. Prayers for everyone involved.
  7. I miss our Murano. Sure footed as a mountain goat. Lots of get up and go! Wish we had not traded it off.
  8. I agree with Bob's advice.
  9. I only know of one horn on the RSTD's. RH side. I replaced my whimpy stock horn with a Wolo horn. Highly recommend using the chrome bracket and horn relay wiring harness that Carbon One here on this site sells. Easy 30 minute install!!!
  10. I used youtube to locate a video on how to replace the turn signal switch on my 2006 Dodge Ram. Easy fix that the dealer wanted $100 labor to fix.
  11. Sorry to learn of this. Next ride is for Eddie!
  12. Thanks for the advice. Adding speed bleeders soon.
  13. Thanks for the reminder. Dangerous time of the year!
  14. Look forward too seeing you in A few weeks!
  15. I have lots of experience with adding a trunk to our 2005 RSTD. Went with a Wompus rack originally, really liked it. Used a less expensive Matasuko trunk first. Even then $350 would not be enough. Eventually installed a Harley Tour Pack on the Wompus rack loved it!! Recently wanted grab handles so I replaced the Wompus rack with RSV rails and RSV rack. My wife and grandson really like the grab bars. The extra cost is well worth it. That being said Patrolman46 purchased a modified RSTD backrest and aftermarket Harley looking trunk from another owner. I am impressed with the modified mount but cold weather has kept us from installing it. I am anxious to see it. I really like what I have but this other way might really be worth a look. Hope to install on Dan's bike this week. Sure willing to offer long distance help if needed.
  16. I managed to gets photo added to VR Gallery Member photos.
