Need a job? Retiring? Relocate Western Nebraska?
Phoneman1981 replied to Phoneman1981's topic in Watering Hole
Hello Everyone: Sleeper Hawk: As you know some years are better than others, this past year I rode some even during the winter when the roads were clear. But on average I bet it is 6-8 months at best. Ruffy and Slyvester: Yes, I too do not like the winters as much as I used too. Oz: Yes the northern part of the state is beautiful Midnight Rider: You certainly could stay here in the summer and go back south in the winter. I might even go with you. Grayghost: I understand. I visited friends in Pensicola in Jan. of 2011 and damn near froze to death!!! I will take a dry cold over the moist cold!!! Roger: I too am tired of the early 100 degree days this year. Sure has been nice the past two days. Look forward to seeing you at the auction! -
Handle bar weights
Phoneman1981 replied to chubbyone's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Hello: I am sure I have read other posts where owners have replaced their factory grips with new grips minus the bar end weights. I myself prefer the weights. Just my thoughts. -

Very funny Brian. Made me laugh!! -
Hello Everyone: Thought I might ask. Are their any members that need a job or are retiring and might consider relocating to Western Nebraska? I feel we could help in the search for a job. Some jobs start at $14/hr. My parents property is for sale or rent? (3) homes on 8 acres. Main home is 3 bedroom, 2 bath with central air. 22X60 block garage. Two mobile home rentals. Live in one rent the others to make the payment. 3 hours away from the Black Hills or Colorado mountains. Small town, 2500 population, Good schools, friendly people, clean air and no traffic. Arid climate, temps cool off at night.

Sorry about your woes. I want you to know you made me feel better. Sorry

Hello Everyone: Thanks Brian for keeping the ball rolling. Your idea for Tuesday and Thursday morning at 9:00 at the Highschool is a great idea. I look forward to meeting more VR members.

I called a friend that lives and rides in the blackhills. He said it was pretty smokey on the 3rd. But recent winds have cleared things up. He said all fires with the exception of the one near New Castle are under control. He welcomes you to the area.

Looks nice. I am sure you will enjoy having it. -
Nice bike. Welcome to the site!!!!

Glad no one was hurt. Do not fall in love with anything that cannot love you back. But I have to admit, I laughed when I saw the Mercedes emblem on the trunk lid. Never fails.

Hello Glenn: Your project turned out great. I am honored to be able to swap ideas and pictures with you. We sure like our trunk. -
Sorry to hear this. Tragic. Prayers to those involved.

Hello: Thanks for sharing. Accidents can happen to any of us and on any vehicle. It took me 25 years before I got back on after an accident. I truly love the sport. It is one thing that my wife and I enjoy doing together. Please stick around. The bike may be gone but the friendships here are for a life time.

Yes. As of this moment Graderman46 and myself and our wives plan to attend. We have discovered over the past few years how difficult it is to find others during bike week. But we think we found a solution. Last year we actually stayed in Sturgis rather than Custer. Each morning the Sturgis FFA students prepare a wonderful breakfast for $8. The Highschool is located east of town and is easy to find. It has a large parking area. It would be a great place to have a VR.org member meet.

The most important thing is that you are still alive. I have been in the same situation. Heal well and get back on when the time is right.

Welcome to the site: I hope you get as much out of this site as I have!!!!!! I purchased the 100 led tail light from Custom Dynamics, it really increases your ability to be seen. I highly recommned it. Welcome aboard.
