Hello: Leaving early on the 3rd. Patrolman46 and I along with the Grandson are traveling to the Saratoga WY area Friday, hope to be there by noon. Staying the afternoon and night and leaving the Grandson behind early Saturday morning. Heading back over to Laramie via 130 then north through Sybille Canyon back over to Wheatland area and then north over to Newcastle? Not just sure what way we will actually take. Our wives are riding up in a cage to meet us on Saturday evening. Staying all week in Sturgis. Our apartment is easy to find. Look forward to meeting everyone. Safe Travels to all.

Hello: I saw in a recent post that BigLenny has a Rivco center stand. I called him on the phone. Really nice guy. He likes his stand, but indicated it takes a lot of effort to get the bike up on it. I am going to pass. I really want a ride off stand instead. I had one on my 1981 Honda CB900 and sure would like one for my RSTD if anyone makes one??

Advice from others on this site helped me with the exact issue you are having. Flanders bars will solve your problem. RSV owners will be interested in you RSTD stock bars. -
I purchased my 05 RSTD in 08. When it came time for its first oil change and just before Sturgis I took it to the dealer for a service and inspection. I am really busy and all I want to do is RIDE!!! The service cost me $150 and I was not pleased to discover while riding that my rear brake pads were thin and began squealing while on vacation. Lost one day while the Sturgis Yamaha dealer fixed me up. Thanks to that experience and the information and confidence I have gained from this site, my bike will not be at the dealers very often. Just my two cents.

Thanks Guys for your input. My wife and I are not big drinkers but do like an occasional beer. We have rode shuttle buses to other events other events and yes, it can be entertaining at times. Thanks for your advice. Thought we might try it? I sure hope to meet up with everyone this time!!!!

Hello Everyone: Despite being in the black hills during the Sturgis rally the past 5 or 6 years we have never attended a concert. Until last year we stayed in Custer and always did day rides. Last year we stayed in Sturgis but still did not attend any concerts. I noticed on the web that concerts ticket prices at the Full Throttle range from $45-$60. Bluffalo Chip $52.50-$62.50. But concert tickets at the Broken Spoke for non campers like ourselves are only $20 each. Does anyone have experience with concerts during the rally and can explain the large difference in cost between the Broken Spoke and the others. My wife wants to ride DaBus and attend an evening concert. Is that crazy? Any thoughts or experiences are welcome. Thanks

Hello Everyone: I am not having any issues with my clutch as of yet. But we do ride two up most all of the time. After talking with BigLenny on the phone yesterday. Seeing this post last nigt and emailing Skydoc17 I just ordered my upgrade kit as a precaution. Thanks.

Good Morning Everyone: Lone Eagle is correct. RSTD's do not have 4 way flashers like the RSV's. I too would like to add emergency flashers to my 05 RSTD. The information listed here is wonderful. I am going to check it out. Thanks:)

Hello Everyone: Thanks for all of the good comments on this rally. We were invited to go last year but could not make it. The more I learn the more it interests me. Hopefully we can attend someday. Grandson starts school this year so vacations after september 1st will be less likely to happen in the future. But one never knows.
