  1. Good luck. Keep is posted.
  2. I like my 05 Tour Deluxe more every time I ride it. After owning a bike with cruise control there is no way I would own another one with out it. If you can afford the newer bike. I would recommend it. The cruise is a deal breaker for me now. Hope you stick around. Keep us posted.
  3. Interesting read. Kind of like watching "As the World Turns". Anxious to hear more.
  4. Congrats to Charles and Roger on your new grand children.
  5. Nice to know. Great testimonial.
  6. I have replaced the floors on several trailers. Treated 2" dimension lumber, 2x6, 2x8 or 2x10 would be the best way to go. Plywood on top would be okay but not very weather resistant. Good luck with your project.
  7. Hello Tricia: We are pulling for you. Keep a positive attitude and keep us posted.
  8. Prayers to the families involved. Bless you for your service.
  9. Hello Mark: Never a dull moment with you. Always trading. Hope you get back to a Tour Deluxe.
  10. Glad you hear your news. Enjoy.
  11. Hello: Just wondering if anyone on the site is planning on going to Sturgis this year? Now that we have had to cancel on the international . We might ride up on the 9th. Stay over night on the 9th & 10th and ride back home on the 11th. Anyone else going?
  12. Sadly we are going to have to cancel on the international this year. Thanks again for the offer.
  13. Jeff: Thanks for the offer. That sounds like a win win deal. I do not have a carb tune as of yet. I did observe a carb sync at Kreg's MD, but due to blizzard conditions the bikes stayed at home. Thanks again.
  14. Thanks everyone. Mike you did those owners a favor. I hope they check out the VR.org site.
  15. Hello Everyone: We rode over to Torrington WY today. Returned a borrowed item to Patrolman46. Dan and Charlene were also in need of some saddle time. We took off with no destination in mind only a direction. Ended up in Manville WY for pie and icecream. On the way home we met a Midnight RSV loaded on a trailer headed north. Very rare to meet another Yamaha in our region much less one loaded on a trailer!! 215 miles later we returned home safe. I cannot remember the last time my arms were this tan. We were treated to endless views of rolling green pastures with shiny coated cattle walking belly deep in grass. Great day.
  16. Hello Steve: This forum has made owning a motorcylce so much more fun than going it alone. More knowledge here than anyone cycle shop could ever have! My 05 RSTD is nearing the 45K mark. I noticed a used 05 on ebay yesterday. The 127K miles caught my eye. I am jealous!!!! Hope you enjoy it here.
  17. Good for you!!! My 7 year old Grandson rides with me often. He thinks the helmet intercom is the coolest thing.
  18. Glad you got going again. Watching this thread from long distance. Enjoy your trip.
  19. We would be honored if you ever get a chance to ride this way. Hoping to continue meeting as many members as I can. Sad that we can't ride east and make the International this year. But we are riding as much as we can locally. May make Sturgis the last weekend this year afterall?
  20. Hello Roger: Thanks for the idea. Hope to ride with Lori and you soon...
  21. Our members are great!!!! Cougar if I buy a carbtune will you visit us??
  22. Hello Everyone: I have a complete spare windshield with mounts for my RSTD. I have occasionally seen STAR motorcycle windshield bags on ebay. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions for a padded cover for my spare windshield with lowers. Thanks
  23. Our Yamaha dealer has always told stories about a local area rider that rides constantly. I stopped at McDonalds in Torrington Wy to meet up with Patrolman46 and Babe recently. Noticed a Stratoliner parked outside. Went inside and ran into another friend having breakfast. My friend introduced me to "Gordie". Mid sixties, Long white hair and beard. I then realized he was the "Legend" that the Yamaha dealer tell stories about. Gordie indicated he put 100K on a Roadstar before buying his Stratoliner. He indicated he rode Harley's in his younger years and still owns two of them, but he plans to leave them in the garage and ride his trouble free Strat. It was fun listening to his stories.
