  1. Hello: Wife and I went vehicle shopping again yesterday. We have owned an 06 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad cab 4x4 Big Horn addition since 09. My wife really liked the truck. It was her daily ride for a couple of years. It had 70k on it when we bought it and now had 110k. It now is more MY vehicle than hers. I like everything about the truck except the stiff ride. The newer 1500 Dodge pickups now have coil springs on the rear rather then leaf springs. The ride is much better. I am happy with the 4 doors and short box. Likely would never go back to anything less than 4 doors. I owned Ford pickups in the 80's, Mazda pickups in the 90's and the Dodge line has been good for us also. Still have our 2000 Dodge Intrepid. But I have been looking at Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra. I really like the ride, but hard to find any newer pickup under 30,000 dollars.
  2. You guys are BAD!!!!!
  3. Thank you everyone for the kind words. I am blessed to have such good family and friends. We learned Mom and baby went home yesterday afternoon. Everyone is doing just fine.
  4. I learned how to sharpen drill bits on a bench grinder when I was in FFA during my highschool years. I still occasionally use that skill from many years ago. Thanks for the info on the new device.
  5. My Sister has a winter home in Arizona. Maybe I will just show up on your door step!!!!
  6. Hello: I have a younger coworker. Kind of new to our community. His wife and he both have kids from previous relationships but have been expecting a baby girl to arrive around Nov. 9th. She has had trouble carrying the baby and has been unable to work for the past couple of months. Money is short with only one income. Their other children are at least 8 years older, no baby items. Oldest daughter age 12 planned a baby shower for her mom but my wife aready had plans for that given day. So my wife went shopping a few days before the event and had a hayday. I drove her and her purchases to their home in the next town a few weeks ago. The couple was thrilled. One the way home I told my wife how proud I was of her. She indicated she had not had an opportunity to baby shop for almost 8 years and had a blast doing so. I later learned that only one person showed for the baby shower which made my wife's gesture so much more meaningful. ( I guess Lee knew that might happen??) I had teased them during her pregnacy that I would be honored if she would deliver on Nov. 8th as that was my late Fathers birthday and if so I was hoping they would name the little girl "Chuck or Charlie" after my Dad. Well the baby did arrive by natural birth yesterday on Nov. 8th. "Lilly Angel" is beautiful and healthy. I got a text last night that we could stop by this weekend and hold "Charlie". Happy for them.
  7. Thanks for keeping us posted. Praying for a quick recovery.
  8. Looks nice!!!!
  9. I spoke to Steve when he mentioned selling his Grill business. He indicated none of his family wanted to continue with production. He shot me a price and I gave it some consideration, but decided it was not for me. I was hoping someone else could continue his legacy. I think of Steve everytime I look at my grill!!!!!!!
  10. I have alway been impressed on how easy the Stratoliners come up off of the kick stand. But after having electronic crusie control I would likely not ever purchase a motorcycle that does not have it.
  11. Glad you were not hurt. Thanks for posting.
  12. Greetings from Western Nebraska. Wonderful people here.
  13. Congrats!!!!
  14. I enjoyed the pictures. Thanks for posting.
  15. Welcome to the site. I too wanted to have Rick modify my RSTD seats, but did not want to loose any riding time. So I procured a second set of seats and sent them to Rick. Since then I have loaned the spare set out at least once to another member for the same reason. As suggested by another member, buying a second seat is a good option.
  16. You guys continue to make me laugh!! I called Patrolman46 the other morning. Told him I was actually following a pickup that did NOT have a HD sticker in the back window. Even more impressed when I got close enough to see the sticker in the back window was acutally a Yamaha Star Motorcycle logo. One in million.
  17. Thanks for the update. Always nice to hear good news.
  18. Each and everyone of you make me laugh. Thanks guys!!!!
  19. WE will be thinking of you tomorrow. Prayers.
  20. You made a good decison. The bike went to someone with mechanic skills. It will make someone very happy. I almost purchased a 920 back in 1980 but chose a Honda CB900 instead.
  21. Thanks for the update. Prayers continuing.
  22. Hello Everyone: While listing to the radio this morning I heard a Geico Motorcycle ad. I was shocked at the content. The ad portrayed a solo male rider and his attitude toward females. Bragged how easy it was to insure his Beast. Ad ended with a mention of a sidecar and maybe he might allow a female to ride but only then. Has anyone else heard this ad yet? What were they thinking? If I were a female owner I would be pi$$ed and darn sure would not purchase insurance from Geico. Any thoughts??
  23. Praying that both of you recover quickly.
  24. Glad it was not worse.
  25. Me too!!!!! Wild weather for sure. Tornado in Eastern Nebraska on Thursday. Heavy snow further north. One extreme to the other.
