  1. Thanks for posting. You all did good!!!
  2. Hello Everyone: I ran across a local owner that cannot ride any longer due to a shoulder injury. He has his full dressed 1989 Kawasaki ZG120 tan in color for sale. 42K original miles. Asking price $1400. I have only seen pictures so far but it looks very nice in the pictures. I may go look at it later today or tomorrow depending on the owners availability. I am not in the market for myself, but have a friend in mind that would like to get a bike. the price seemed reasonable. Any thoughts on the Kawasaki brand or the asking price would be appreciated.
  3. Welcome to the club!!! I too am 5'7". I never liked looking through the windshield for the same reasons. I eventually cut my stock windshield down myself. (Great directions here on the VR site). 17 1/2" from the top of the cut out was just right for me. I could look over it but still crouch behind it if I wanted to do so. After lowing my RSTD in the rear this season, I realized it changed my angle of sight and now the cut down version is now in my line of vision. I have since went back to a taller windshield. Trying to get used to it. My wife really likes the taller shield. Hard to please everyone.
  4. Great news!!!!
  5. Not sure about your procedure, but shortly after my friend moved to Florida, it was discovered he was substantially blocked on each side, high stroke risk. To hear him tell it, they knocked him out, reversed his blood flow and ran it through several filters while they roto rooted his arteries. He is still alive today a year later. Good luck and keep us posted.
  6. Hello Annie: Condolences from Lee and I. May your fond memories comfort you. Prayers.
  7. Congrats on your milestone.
  8. Interesting read!!!
  9. Thanks for posting.
  10. Not able to ride as much this year as we have in past years. 7 year old Grandson and I rode with Patrolman46 to Saratoga WY and back (500 miles). Wife and I made our yearly trip to the Black Hills during the Sturgis Rally. Put on about 700 miles that trip. Several day trips in our local region.
  11. Gary: Good to hear from you!!! Thanks for checking in. Merry Christmas to you also....Mark:)
  12. Good Luck Tom.
  13. Hoping you make a speedy recovery.
  14. I agree with Gary N. The Wagner grill looks like it belongs. I think of Steve everytime I look at my grill. When Steve listed his grill business for sale, I was interested enough to call and inquire. We talked a couple of times about it. The timing was just not good for me at that time. I too was hoping the grill could live on.
  15. I would think NOT. But thanks for asking. Just a great headset for daily cellular users like myself.
  16. Black Owl you are so tactful!!! :rotf:Happy Birthday Brian.
  17. Hello Everyone: I have tried several different types of bluetooth headsets over the past years and have discovered that for me the LG HSB700 has won my approval. Lays around your neck, very comfortable. Earbuds that magnetically stow away. Controls at your finger tips. High quality for $50 on Amazon. Pros Good value for the money. Lightweight and Comfortable (nothing clamped on your ear) Wearable under a helmet just like earplugs. Frees up my hands, no holding the phone!!!!! Rechargeable Long talk and standby time. Warning beep when battery is low. Vibrates on your collar bone when ringing. (Great for noisy areas, I have even used it on the bike) Use one or both earbuds. For safety and convenience I prefer to use only one earbud. Earbud in my ear tells others that I am likely on the phone!!!!!! Cons Will fall off if you lay on your back. Car mechanics might not like them. Otherwise they are terriffic. The collar on my shirt will WEAR the insulation on the earbud wire abit. I now simply put a few wraps of electrical tape on the WEAR area to prevent this. Just thought I would share.
  18. Interesting. I learned a lot from reading this post.
  19. So sorry to hear your news. I know the feeling. Been there with both of my parents. Spend as much time as you can with her. Prayers.
  20. Thanks for sharing. I am still using XP because of the negative things I have heard from Windows 8 users.
  21. Glad to hear things are improving. Always nice when you can meet other members. I am glad the exhaust tips I had are now enjoying sunny Florida, rather than sitting on a cold shelf in Western Nebraska.
  22. Glad you had a good turnout. Thanks for posting.
