Mike's birthday dinner was Chicken Marsala, never made it before either mind you. According to Mike AND the roommate it was an excellent dinner. Tiramisu was also quite good. One of Mike's coworkers made a trip to the house to try it, she really wanted to eat more, but refrained from begging. I sent her home with the recipe though.

That sounds like Mike from a few yrs ago. Since I don't have a Dad to ask for help anymore I ask his Dad lol, which usually gets Mike in trouble lol. Mike's a good all around guy with fixing things. And some age has helped him to be willing to talk through ideas and such before he attempts them.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tiramisu Simply put it's an Italian cake. Mike's very nontraditional and prefers that to a traditional birthday cake. Easier one me as well, I can make a tiramisu look alot better than a birthday cake lol.

Someone tried to pull a similar scam on me abt 3 yrs ago via facebook. They hacked into a friend's account and were telling me that they had been in a wreck in Scotland. Now normally I'd blow it off as a scammer, but my friend is from Scotland but lives here in the States AND had been in a really bad wreck 2 yrs prior while visiting family in Scotland. However Mike and I had not been told she was going on holiday to Scotland (she brings me gifts from there) so when I pressed for more details, they failed, after the person when offline I called her and confirmed she was safe and sound at home and informed her of what happened. Unfortunately her family was all in a panic thinking she was dying in some hospital in Scotland.

Mike's doing his Visual Basic homework, advanced class. This is his 4th time taking a VB class between 4 different schools....let's say he generally knows what he's doing. Tonight he's struggling with working with CSV format. I know it's about reading from, writing to, and putting the database into a visual format like a contacts list in an address book, only it's dealing with car sales. The trouble he's having is with reading from the file. The textbook discusses how write the file. However it doesn't discuss the other part. He's emailed the prof, however it's unlikely he will hear from her until Monday. Homework is due tomorrow (Thurs) @11:59pm. Anyone want to lend him a hand? We'd both appreciate it, he's been pulling his hair out all day.

My great grandfather was pastor at the Methodist Church in New Iberia, other than that I know nothing about the area.

So Dan....Saw this and have to ask are you taking these classes in an effort to apply the mentality of " If you want something done right, Do it yourself" And apply it to your first contract otherwise known as "Your Garage"? Signed, Mike and Tricia

It is $79/yr. However if you do alot of ordering though Amazon, it can pay for itself quickly. Mike and I ordered alot of computer related stuff in a short span of time last year. We upgraded to the Prime trial to get all our shipping upgraded to the fastest free way so our stuff wouldn't be lost somewhere in BFE. (We lost a printer we ordered to the local UPS distribution center) If you order often it's a good value. Prime also allows you access to Amazon's version of Netflix.

I haven't had any joint replacements yet, however staples are easy. 3 surgeries, and on all 3 I took out my own. (I'm severely allergic to surgical steel) Do I suggest you try it? naw. I actually know what I was doing lol.

I'm ok as well. We got some hail about 8:30am est, nothing major, about like sleet. Other than that, was just a typical summer type storm for this part of Georgia. I hope everyone's ok and safe. And now my husband's getting ready to head to work (on the bike no less).

We're safe here in Warner Robins GA. Got some hail earlier, about 8:30. Kirby over in Mcrae is about to see the stuff we got. Stay safe Kirby!

I know, very sad. I cried and said a prayer for him. I'll totally lose it when Michael Nesmith passes. He's one of my cousins on Dad's side. Nope, never met him, not likely to ever either. Still, he's family.

Jeff, Glad to hear from you finally. Not glad to hear of the troubles. Hope you get into actual rehab today and the infection clears easily. Keep us all in the know. Get well soon.

Take it easy there cowboy, gall bladder surgery isn't too bad as surgeries go, but you won't be able to lift more than 10lbs for the next 2 mons while the incision sites heal, maybe they should stick you on food detail next weekend. Heal well and behave.

Mike bought his bike off Craigslist. Almost $2000 under the kbb and NADA values too. Was a local guy who remarrried and the new wife put her foot down about riding the bike his ex bought him. He needed a quick sale to make her happy and didn't feel right about selling for the listed values since he's stored it a few yrs. Was even kind enough to ride it to our house after Mike paid him since the bike needed adjusting to Mike's build. never been a problem in the yr since we brought it home.
