I could put a smaller harddrive in the system for a bit cheaper, but the most you may save is $20. I didn't add a monitor, keyboard and mouse, unless Dan has a flat panel monitor, he would need one of those too. Also, everything on this list can be found at newegg. Gary: Dan doesn't need that high tech of a system lol, you had special needs that required a specialized build. I could build Dan a much cheaper system that would meet his needs easily. Looking now at builds to see what I could do.
-
I could build you a new computer Dan, easy as pie for me. Might even save you a few $$, but I'd prefer you pick it up instead of me trying to ship it. The other option is getting a new hard drive and loading your restore cds on it then installing it in your computer.

Hope they find out what's wrong and Taters gets to come home quickly. Take care Tom.

Mike and I have plans to go, we'll see how fast I'm moving then lol

Annie, you didn't make to to my part of Georgia last year, next year you should take a few days to come this far south after Vogel and see the sights. Might be hot but I think you won't be disappointed otherwise.

I'm 38, and mildly impaired from cerebral palsy. I also had the ability to go to a private school until 10th grade. Kids, and uneducated/uncaring adults can be very cruel. I was very lucky that the majority of my teachers were very caring and loving people who enjoyed having me as a student. It made school easier to bear. I'm lucky that weight was not an issue I had to deal with then. In fact, I was the skinny kid in school lol. I hope she recovers and can get back to a normal routine.

Kidney Stones, Infections, Allergic Reaction, now double vision.
GAWildKat replied to etcswjoe's topic in Watering Hole
When I was in the hospital a couple or so yrs ago for the so called pancreatitis episode (I really had the flu) The antinausea med I was given caused double vision as well. I'd demand the doc swap that med out, the double vision problem can become permanent in some people. I also suggest seeing another doc about breaking up the stone. -
Hey, it's not so bad for us redheads here in the deep south, you learn, sunscreen, sunscreen and more sunscreen lol. And I know to the north of me (I live in Central GA) winter has been rather warm the last few years, 70's and 80's much of the time.

Leaving on Trip, Should probably have head examined
GAWildKat replied to djh3's topic in Watering Hole
Actually it was 108 in the Macon/Warner Robins area yesterday for the 3rd straight day....that was of course before the storms hit. Current temp is 93....much better and normal for central GA. Glad your trip went smoothly for the most part. -
At least the bike's safe? isn't that all that matters? lol Otherwise, glad everyone there is ok.
-
100 degrees? pawshaw, Mike rides in the crazy temps regardless. Me I drive the unair conditioned car The bike is cooler!

I can see KIC not knowing what a webmaster or webmistress is. But SilvrT, you're an IT guy! Before y'all start with the naughty comments a webmaster or webmistress is a site owner/operator, ie Don/Freebird. sheesh! MEN! :rotf:

Brian, I think I speak for everyone when I say, just get well, and those who have orders with you will worry about them when you are well enough to fulfill them. I for one am sorry about your accident and the loss of your bike. Do the therapy as suggested and hopefully you'll be close to 100%. Hugs!

I'm one of the ladies on the forum. However, I've also been a webmistress to a site that has absolutely nothing to do with motorcycles. A lot of work goes into the design and build of websites, VRO uses a "canned forum build" that is popular on forum sites, but is tweaked and customized to fit Don's desires for looks and such. Webhosting a site as big as this also costs money. Average starting expense is over $200/yr and then the site owner often has to pay for the data usage the site has with the traffic that comes to it. That could cost thousands of dollars a year. If I wanted to hire out a contract to build and manage a site as large as this one I could end up paying in excess of $50,000/yr to a web designer/programmer on top of webhosting and traffic usage. I know because I'm married to one. What started as a hobby for Don to use as a means to bring Venture fans together in an online forum that eventually went far beyond that scope has become an expensive hobby to maintain alone. While Mike and I are amongst the poorest members of the forums, our lives have become enriched through the forums, through meeting other members and making it to different events. $12/yr is a very small price to pay for technical knowledge and occasionally assistance from other members. There are days the humor shared on the site has made me laugh when I needed it. One day Mike hopes to have a good Venture, until then we are riding that Volusia lol. It should also be pointed out while the site says it has X members, not all of those have currently active paid accounts. I'm not sure the percentage of current paid accounts on the site, but I'm sure if Don wants to share that he's able. Hope this helps.

Looks like we may not be able to go either weekend, The assistant manager changed her off dates for the week of the 4th, however Mike will beg for the 30th off and arm twist to get it. If Lewis decides to add July 14th to the possibilities, Mike can get that Saturday off for sure. Obviously there's no way to please or suit everyone, however some of us are on fixed policies with getting time off.
-
Mike and I can ride to Warm Springs and meet everyone there on the 7th. The 30th is too close to ask the time off. We'd love to ride to Newnan and ride down to Warm Springs, however the distance for us is about the either place. Just give us a time and meeting place in Warm Springs and we'll be there.

Here you go Larry, but looks like you may be making a road trip.... http://atlanta.craigslist.org/nat/tld/3035817557.html
