    I've got a new 08 RSTD. Mine has a bit of a "chirp" sound, but I don't think it's the clutch? The chirp just goes with engine rpm whether the clutch is engaged or not. It's not all that loud at this point, but it's noticable.

    I just had my 600 mile maintenance done. My dealer changed the differential oil also. Sync'd carbs, changed engine oil, usual inspection, etc. Mine was a new 08 RSTD, so this meant it had been sitting somewhere in a Yamaha warehouse for some time, so I wanted to have them go over everything the first time. Cost me $230. Will definitely be doing my own oil, etc. in the future, though.

    Maybe I'm reading things incorrectly, but it seems that the chrome air cleaner covers don't exactly fit with the RSTD system, and require different filters? Anyone had experience with that?
