I am hauling mine to California this summer so the wife and I can ride highway 1 in Cali and Oregon can't wait. Wifes butt would not allow riding it out there.

I have a 2010 also I have 18K on mine already. I like those spur of the moment trips also. Good to hear all went well on your ride.

Back at you Hope everyone has a safe and Happy 2012. I know it is hard on a venture but don't forget to slow down enough to smell the flowers.

How hard is wheel removal?
fxitdude replied to shikano53's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
shikano53 be sure that the bike is secure on the stand, strapped down. When you remove either the front or the back it can cause and unbalance that can cause the bike to tilt. I now always put a block under the other wheel so this can't happen. Once the wheel is off you can remove the block and take that wheel off if you are doing both. Please don't ask how I learned this lesson not something I like to think about. -
If you cut the scratched up one you can see if you like it before you buy a new one. If you don't like it you can buy a new one the original size.

They are slightly dimer than the original unless you change the bulb from yellow to clear and the glare is no worse than the rest of the chrome on the bike. The main time you notice them is when the bike is setting not running. They are mainly for show like most of the other chrome on the bike. I am forgot about the bring the pictures rule sorry.

They work I got mine in today had to change the yellow bulb to white.

In 2009 I was at the local Stealer and a man came in and purchased a brand new 2009 M109 Suzuki and when he left the store he jumped on it (Hard) and lost control (not sure if he every actually had control) and him and the bike went straight across the four lane street and hit a steel light pole. It threw him clear into the grass and totaled the bike it had .2 miles on the odometer. Kinda made me sick at my stomach. Was glad he was not hurt and he had a motorcycle endorsment on his DL. Just nothing in the helment. Wish I would have had my video camara running it would have been worth some money.
