HUMBLE??? I am really good at being humble! In fact, I may not be the most humble person in the world...but when he dies I'm going to take his place! I am what you might call an EXPERT in humility! Humble Pie...that's me! Yep. I'm the best! **************************************************** you know...the trouble with being truly humble? YOU CAN'T TELL ANYONE ABOUT IT!

What speed do you cruise at on the highway?
Trader replied to shikano53's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Ontario speed limit is 100 km on slabs...I generally keep it between 115-120 On 80 km roads....I keep it just over 90 haven't had a ticket in a lot of years. -
if you decide to head east in Ontario, I'd be happy to spring for a dinner cruise in the 1000 Islands out of Kingston. I've got an "In" there. Some beautiful country up here if you can manage it. Just let me know and I'll meet up with you!

Cool! I thought my "white outside the box = snow...condor = bird therefore snow birds" idea was pretty good...not even close...but pretty good! I'm about 5 hours away from the meet...but I'm gonna try to be there!
-
cruising down to Cody... up to Alaska was the wrong direction so you will be continuing on to Texas, Arizonia or Forida? (where it is Hot?)...and as this is only for Canucks...we should know that those are favorite destinations for SNOW BIRDS (the white outside the box)
-
HOT clue? I suggested California....but maybe you finally started listening to everyone and you are going to H-E-double hockeysticks!

I haven't checked the accuracy of this lengthy article ...the main points are below. It was was sent to me by a friend. How often do you get to witness an event that has not been seen since 1378, over half a millennium, 632 years ago? Of course, weather will make or break the viewing, and it appears the much of the west coast of the USA will be socked in with a significant winter storm at that time. See for yourself on Dec. 21st, the first day of northern winter, when the full Moon passes almost dead-center through Earth's shadow. For 72 minutes of eerie totality, an amber light will play across the snows of North America, throwing landscapes into an unusual state of ruddy shadow. The eclipse begins on Tuesday morning, Dec.21st, at 1:33 am EST (Monday, Dec. zoth, at 10:33 pm PST). At that time, Earth's shadow will appear as a dark-red bite at the edge of the lunar disk. It takes about an hour for the "bite" to expand and swallow the entire Moon. Totality commences at 02:41 am EST (11:41pm PST) and lasts for 72 minutes. If you're planning to dash out for only one quick look - it is December, after all- choose this moment: 03:17 am EST (17 minutes past midnight PST). That's when the Moon will be in deepest shadow, displaying the most fantastic shades of coppery red.

Here are a few of my thoughts....for what it's worth! Clue #1- OK...so we are looking for one single word? Clue #2- Spelling? Clue #3 This one came with the pic from Condor's (Jack C. from California) signature. CLUE #4- So we are looking for a biking related word? My guess is that once the snow melts, Carl is going to "CRUISE" (single word, C before U) across Canada, Possibly visit Condor or at least get to California and I"m guessing he would then probably take in the annual rally before heading back east. Its OK...no need for applause....I'll provide my own! :clap2::clap2:

Sorry for your loss...never a good time to lose a friend. Just goes to prove the old adage that nobody laying on their death bed ever said "I wish I spent more time at the office!"

Carl if you look carefully you can get a small hint near the bottom left of his post in red font!

You did WHAT??!!!! Come on Mike! We all like to make our bikes beautiful...but I'd still rather be riding a dirty bike than standing still looking at a clean one! like someone said...you got all winter to clean it up! Bad Mike....BAD!!!!

If you have the time to kill a day, take the AGAWA Canyon Train Ride out of Sault St. Marie. www.agawacanyontourtrain.com/ you can buy a full breakfast on the train, and a picnic basket for the 1 hr stop over at the end. At least you could 20 years ago when I did it with a buddy.

open your face shield when at a stop. or you can buy an "anti-fog" solution to put on your face sheild. I remember as a kid skin diving we used to spit on the inside of our mask....but I don't think that would work!!!! frozen oysters hanging in front of your face....MMM MMM good!

I'm not so sure about that! I just shake my head when I see people lined up in their cars for 15 min. to get their daily double double...usually because they are just too lazy to get out of their car and walk into the store! Not only that...but think of the economics of it! I don't know the actual price....I'm 45 min away from the nearest Tims so I don't go very often at all. ...but lets say a coffee and donut is $1.75 if you go every day that is $1.75 x 5 = $8.75 per week. $8.75 x 50 weeks a year= $437.50 per year. Thats for one person, once a day. I know some folks who head to Tim's 2 or 3 times a day! And if husband and wife both go 5 times a week....that could be a week's holiday somewhere gone!

Welcome to the site! You WILL get a lot of help here...I know I have. Hence the expression "why wait for spring...do it now!" It just makes sense that you could save several hundreds of dollars by buying now...at least if you find one in the northern states. I somehow wouldn't think the southern states would have as large a seasonal price difference. But then...what do I know?

Anybody had any experience with these? I have bought 2 pairs of used headsets in the past...both were junk! Don't want to throw away any more money. It seems up here the snow isn't as bad as it used to be....be we are getting freezing rain a LOT more often than we ever used to! Snow is not so bad....ICE .....not so good! Trees break, wires break, heads and back's break (from falls)...and car's won't brake! When you look at the news and see all the weird weather all over the world how can ANYBODY argue that global warming is not messing things up!

What is the material the box is made of on a harbor freight trailer? And can that material hold paint? If I got one I'd like to paint it to match the bike...but it would be a rattle can paint job
