  1. I'm over 200 miles away...but I"m willing to do the design and see about getting T-shirts and patches. As long as it doesn't cost me! I can't afford to take even a small hit.
  2. DOH!!!! sorry about that! here's the link....and I added it to the first post too! [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qz4NcTnQedo&annotation_id=annotation_781794&feature=iv]Knuffingen Airport: Kleinster Flughafen der Welt // The world's smallest airport - YouTube[/ame]
  3. Check out this model....especially the night scenes. I used to be in the sign business, selling scrolling poster signs and if you watch at the 3:04 min mark and again at the 4 minute mark you can see models of what I used to sell! So Cool!!!!! EDIT: forgot the link!!!!!! 4. July 7-8 works for me....just have to make sure it doesn't conflict with the international Rally or any other "Major" get togethers (i.e Freebirds Maint. Day)
  5. Congrats on the belt! When I tried to pronounce the disciplines you had studied I chipped 2 teeth and shredded my tounge!
  6. That's it...now my feelings are hurt. If I've told you once I've told you ten million times I don't exagerate or use sarcasm! besides....it's just the truth! 1st Gens just go faster!!!! Would I lie? edit: you can find manuals (probably better than the CD) here in the tech library.
  7. not sure of the make but I got a chrome cup holder from Pioneer Motor Sports at Don's MD this year. I think it was $30 It just bolts onto the existing clamp holding the clutch resevoir It came with 2 rubber inserts, one fitted to the holder, and one that is just a sheet of foam to use as a double layer when needed.
  8. Once upon a time there was a very handsome male camel with two huge camel humps. He fell in love and married a beautiful female camel who had one perfect camel hump. As time progressed, they became the proud parents of a wonderful baby camel who had no humps. They contemplated long and hard on what to call their beautiful little boy. They finally decided on...... You ready for this?????....Keep scrolling down..... Humphrey! :rotf::rotf: Oh, stop your whining and groaning! It's a nice story and better than another thread on oil or tires.
  9. So to summerize ....... HEY! WADDA YA WANT FOR $12 A YEAR! You're welcome Don!
  10. Because this is a "G" rated site...I'll leave that one alone! Gravel roads are like grated bridges...you just have to go with it. Loose gravel is tough...I hate riding them but my Dad is 6 miles down a dead end gravel road. And of course gravel on pavement corners is just scary! Before we got the 88 with the intercom we were just yelling at each other. But I could tell when there was anything I needed to watch for by the way my wife grabbed my ribs! BUT....that too can be a problem. In the car she has often "gasped" or grabbed at the dash or the "Oh Sh## " handle...and freaked me out because I couldn't see anything going on! It's like " OH NO! WHAT HAVE I MISSED?" Before we had the intercom she said that I didn't want to hear what she was saying....just a lot of muttering and praying...but now we do have the intercom she likes it....and she isn't bad at all. Hey sbarnes8478.... I love the fact you have the "Provinces Visited" map on your signiature with only Newfoundland filled in! That looks like the definition of optimism!
  11. Did you happen to notice that the only one dragging was a first gen? Left column, 5th one down. I guess nobody else was comfortable getting that low! Looks like a Victory(?) got close. (same row, 2nd from bottom)
  12. Trader

    Help

  13. Hey this site lets Honda riders post...even Harley riders... and one or two big truck drivers.....so i'm sure nobody will care what your form of transportation is! I've always enjoyed reading your posts...and I'm sure you are still a wealth of information that can help us rookie wrenches....so PLEASE don't let a lack of 2 wheels stop you from being on the board. I sincerely hope that you are able to get a handle on what ever ails ya.
  14. Those clamps look like they would be good "tread grabbers" if you change your foot position to high up on the foot rest Perhaps resting your heel on the clamps
  15. Just my 2 cents here...... Unless you are replying to the LAST post, it is best to use the "quote" button. It can become confusing when there are several different posts with different thoughts in between the posting you are answering and your comments. By using the Quote button we all can zero in on what you are commenting on. Also...when using the Quote button, you don't need to include all of a long winded post....just make sure you have the start and end of quote and delete all the "extras" leaving just the main thought you are commenting on. (as I have done above)
  16. Have you ever have a whipperwill perched outside your bedroom window at 2:00 in the morning? For those who may not know...their call is exactly the same as the name. "Whip-er-WILL.....Whip-er-WILL". They are surprisingly loud for their size. They give out one call every couple of seconds, pretty much NON STOP for what seems like HOURS!!!! Gotta love nature!
  17. We could have very easily had a new thread...." Prayer request for NavyDavy" Glad we don't!!! Your son must have been scared out of his mind watching you slide towards the truck!
  18. Sorry Bobby!!!!! Didn't mean to hijack the thread...just having some fun! So here was Bobby's original question...maybe someone can give the poor guy a SERIOUS answer!!
  19. If we just "pick a spot" there a LOTS of places....but don't you need local members to step up and organize, host etc?
  20. Sad to say Dan, but if you don't have anything in writing I"m sure you will be completely out of luck. Your word against his etc. As much as it hurts, you will have to kiss your money goodbye and move on.
  21. Putting a first Gen under it!
  22. electrical wires....hydro electric.....our electrcal utility in Ontario is called "Hydro One"
  23. The 84 is sold so I'll check for loose parts, or low fork oil....but I"m not investing another cent into it! Any new money is going into my new to me 88 and YES...I am putting in progresives and the condor brace. Which raises a question. The springs that came out of the 88 were the same "style" as the progressives...just about 6"" shorger. Are the stock springs the same as far as having a loose coil end and a tighter coil end or is it possible it already had progressives in it....just compressed over the years???????
  24. I called Allstate up here and they wanted almost $1200!!!!
  25. Lots of good suggestions! So I'll check fork oil, , tight brakes or loose swing arm or frame Thanks all!
