We've all talked to this guy. At last, a picture of him. Mujibar was trying to get a job in India . The Personnel Manager said, 'Mujibar, You have passed all the tests, except one. It is a simple test of your English language skills Unless you pass it , you cannot qualify for this job.' Mujibar said, 'I am ready.' The manager said, You must make a sentence using the words Yellow, Pink, and Green .' Mujibar thought for a few minutes and said, 'Mister manager, I am ready.' The manager said, 'Go ahead.' Mujibar said, 'The telephone goes green, green, And I pink it up, and say, Yellow, this is Mujibar.' Mujibar now works at a call center. No doubt you have spoken to him. I know I have.

I told Dano that when Don wrote he "hit a DEAR" I had visions of a sweet little old granny getting wiped out by the bike! So, who's going to volunteer to be part of the relay for the the trailer to get it to Ontario when I win it?

$1,400.00 and still don't run
Trader replied to bdlight4's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
just a shot in the dark but when they did the carb work did the reseat the carbs or airbox properly? Maybe you've got air leaks? In my LIMITED knowledge it seems to make sense if it runs well full out...it needs extra air at full bore but at idle maybe getting too much air. ???????????????? -
The biggest impact on any diet is portion control. We all eat too much! It helps to use smaller plates...and don't fill them. Plus cut out snacks. Hey...I didn't say it would be fun! In the meantime, Keep bugging the doctors to find out what's going on and then LISTEN TO THEM!

tell him the only way you can make the deal is face to face with him or his representative. Money will change hands only upon inspection of physical item, proper proof of ownership and then will pay in cash. I'm willing to bet you will never hear from him again. I went thru this for a Kabota estate tractor with loader, blower, mower etc etc...about 1/2 what it should have cost. He was in the army in Europe, tractor was on the north west coast of BC He was willing to pay for the shipping as long as ebay escrow service had the money. Then only on my approval ebay would release the funds to him. I knew it was a scam (as stated...ebay doesn't have an escrow service) but I decided to have some fun and see what I could find out. I asked if I could see it but he's not there and it is a long distance. Then I asked if I could send a friend to check it out....but he had some reason why that wouldn't work either. That's when I told him I knew he was a scammer and reminded him of what kind of low life person he really was. Long story short...I tried to report them to the RCMP internet fraud squad...but I was told there was nothing they could do because: 1) No crime had been committed. An offer to sell at a low price is not a crime It's only once you have been scammed that they can act. 2) There was a huge probability that the seller was not even in Canada. With the internet they could be anywhere . 3) As soon as they suck anyone in a get their money, the "escrow service" account is closed and reopened under a different name in a different city. Who knows, with all the With identity theft, it could have been reopened under your name!

I seem to remember a story about some highway in the Prarie Provinces or in the States that has no limit???? Is that an urban myth or fact? Anyone know? I used to ride a 900 Yamaha Seca....that's an inline 4 cyl, shaft drive. It comes from the factory with a headlight pot fairing but I put a sport touring fairing on it. I used to ride that pretty regularly at well over 100 mph and I think the best I ever did was 240 km/hour which works out to over 149 mph. Allowing for speedo error I'm content to claim 140 mph. Trouble is I loved both the speed and trying to scrape my elbows on the corners! That was when the kids were about 5-7 years old. I reasoned if I had a head on collision with a squirrel I'd be dead! Not only that...but I had just recently become one of Jehovah's Witnesses and I realized that it's not a very good example to folks if I blow past them at over 100 mph then pull into the Kingdom Hall! So I sold the bike. I was almost 20 years of being bikeless before I got the VR! I try to tell everyone it's a couch on wheels...comfort not speed but.....

A friend who travels extensively told me there are some areas (I think it was England) that will issue you a fine if your AVERAGE speed between tolls is too fast. IThey calculate it should take so much time to travel from a to b and if you do it too much faster then they ticket you. I guess it's like the marks on the high way used by planes to time speeders...only that's only a short distance!

Armrests, cool feet and money in the bank, what more could you ask for?
Trader replied to myminpins's topic in Watering Hole
I have arm rests on my 1st Gen . They are Bolted at the bottom and just pivot vertically. So you just widen them out a bit and drop down between them! They have to be kept pretty tight or they tend to move out from under your arms under pressure. The ones on MYminpins' bike look like they pivot horizontally so just swing out???? My wife is still not 100% sold on them. She said she feels a bit too closed in. -
Carl, Please pass on my condolences to Marca....and give her a big hug from me! It's never easy losing a loved one..but I know your strong faith will see you thru.

A guy was killed a few years ago near Hamilton when the shoe pad came off the front lifting frame on a truck traveling the other direction. It bounced over the barrier and came thru his windshield and hit him in the head. That was on the QEW. (4 -6 lanes, with concrete center barrier) I would guess those pads have to be about 20 lbs each Glad you Father in Law is OK....scary stuff!

That video is insane! I don't know how many times I cringed as I thought he was going to touch the ground with one rotor or the other! I've flown (and crashed) a few planes...but never did any heli flying except on the simulators.

Looking for a radio button.
Trader replied to cabreco's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Any body have any suggestions on what (and how) to replace the "microphone" cover between the radio knobs on the radio.? (Volume sensor?) It seems like paper and ripped way too easy
