The access ports to the saddle bags are a cool idea! Never seen those before. (but I've lived a sheltered life) Looks like it would be great for the passenger to rummage around while riding.

Is that 1 3/4 too long when butted together at the peak or are you leaving a space for ventilation at the peak ? I would think the ideal would be only an inch or so of gutter being exposed ....but then it's not like I know what I'm talking about.

If you install LED bulbs to replace the original, wouldn't the purpose be to increase brightness but ALSO to reduce the load on the electrical system? If you have to install resistors to make it work, doesn't that negate the reduced load benefit???

BUT......the question that has not been answered is, as 59ndroy asked..... How do you know if 2 1/2 turns is better than 2 3/4 or 3 or 3 1/2??? "feel the exhaust" won't work so well with collectors. -
I just say "Thank you but I'm not interested" and hang up before they have a chance to say anything else. Hey! I am on of Jehovah's Witnesses....so I am use to rejection!

Might be a stupid question....but did you check that you have power on one side and that the other side is grounded? Maybe one side or the other does not complete the circuit. That's the only thing it can be!

I ordered one from Ron Ayers. -Thanks Raybear71 !! Total was ust under $100 for a Slipstreamer with a vent. (Delivered via USPS) I might get dinged for another $13 for taxes at the post office...but not the whopping brokerage fees UPS charges.

Yeah...what's the idea of hijacking this thread to talk about trailer brakes! Especially after I hijacked the thread to talk about balancing trailer tires!!!!! so.......what were we talking about?

I need a windshield for my 88 VR:mo money: I looked up Clearview.... Acrylic, $213 plus Precision Plastics is Lexan, $161 plus a few on ebay for $120 or so... Any suggestions? I want an oversized one. 24" tall and as wide as will fit! What are the pros and cons of the different materials? (Acrylic, Lexan, Lucite, ?????)

Don't want to hijack this thread...but can you get the smaller tires like on these trailers balanced? Mine almost bounces if I hit 70 mph.

It could have been worse...it could have been beside SOMEONE ELSE'S bike....like a big nasty 1%er!!!!

I want to commend you for your efforts! I know it should be an outright donation....but as many have said times are tight and there is only so much "donations" to go around. Plus I don't really like to advertise my donations so the pins, badges etc are not of interest to me. I have contributed to a few of the folks with situations here without posting about it. That's between me and my creator. Again, I know the pins etc are secondary to the donation...but perhaps if you auctioned off "stuff" that we could use. brake switches, upgraded rectifiers, air horns, safety chrome etc etc Put a minimum bid of what you have into it and the profit can be the donation. That would require more work on your part and I realize it would only work with cheaply aquired parts...but might get you more contributions. just my

We were in Brantford....just as we were boarding the bus the cop asked our name and I told him "Marca and Carl". Hey! What are friends for! I know you are lonely so you may be getting someone knocking on your door real soon!

Well, I answered my own question, at least partly. Turns out I blew a fuse..that's why the battery resistor mod stopped working. So I'll have to track down the reason for blowing fuses it's 10 amp...is that enough?--see pic to see what it's running...there are 4 lights on each side also. But.... the question remains Do I need a relay in the rear aux. running lights circuit? (they are not LED) Do I need one for the power supply (lighter)? Do I need one for the air horns? What is the rule of thumb concerning relays? Which one do I ask for?
-
I put the rear running lights on the + acc. terminal of my skydoc fuse upgrade. Then from the Acc. terminal to the switch, then to the rear lights. There is no relay in the circuit. It looks like the battery resistor mod is also on the same terminal. Question #1-Is it possible that when I turned on the lights that I could have blown the resisitor? It was fine during testing etc...but yesterday evening I decided to hit the switch to turn on the running lights and immediately my battery warning light started flashing and now it always on (with key on) Question #2 If I need to install a relay in the running light circuit, what do I ask for? Question #3 Does the battery resistor mod need it's own terminal?

Working people frequently ask retired people what they do to make their days interesting. Well, for example, the other day, my wife and I went into town and visited a shop. When we came out, there was a cop writing out a parking ticket. We went up to him and I said, 'Come on, man, how about giving a senior citizen a break?' He ignored us and continued writing the ticket I called him an jerk. He glared at me and started writing another ticket for having worn-out tires. So my wife called him a moron. He finished the second ticket and put on the windshield with the first. Then he started writing more tickets. This went on for about 20 minutes. The more we abused him, the more tickets he wrote. Just then our bus arrived, and we got on it and went home. We try to have a little fun each day now that we're retired. It's important at our age.
