40,000 per year richer....lets see....I guess that means you folks must PAY about 15,000 per year for the privilege of going to work!

I tried using a regular soldering gun and different types of zip ties to "weld' with. The stuff melted...but seemed to go crispy...which was easy to crumble away. So you would think it was too hot...but I could barely get them to melt!

So that one bit of advice alone saved you a lot more than the $12 to sign up. JUST DO IT! You won't be sorry. -

I always run the back wheel on top of a 2x4 or 2x6. Then is easy to get it up on center stand. You can put a 2x4 under the side stand too so it doesn't lean over too far when you get off.- 23 replies

Wow! That looked like a nasty way to end a ride I could see cuts and scrapes... Nothing more serious I hope.

Just "throwing it out there".... Don's MD is always a highlight of the year....and time-wise the International is not too far behind. Money and time is always a factor and many of us can't do both Unfortunately I couldn't make either one this year. Don said the MD attendance was a bit lower this year...and although I haven't seen any numbers, looking at the pictures, it doesn't look like all that many folks made it to the international. So.....why not combine both? (you don't mind me volunteering you do you Don?) Or do an "INTERNATIONAL" every second year...so it is a bit more "special" OK...let the abuse begin!

Trunk issues

Can't help with the how to. I'm wondering if it would fit in an oven to warm up a bit so you can flex it? But as far as being afraid to break it.....sounds like it's broken already so what have you got to lose? -
But what about passengers? you can't legislate against stupidity. People still drink and drive.

A pet peeve of mine is those idiots who tail gate (in front of me) and are on the gas...then the brakes, then the gas...then the brakes....etc I always leave a good following distance so I don't have to react to the brakes every time...but then some people feel that my safe distance is an invitation to cut in in front of me. Especially when they accelerate to get past me, cut into my lane and then slam on the brakes! They have just taken my buffer zone so now I HAVE to react to the brakes. So then the guy behind me who is tailgating has to react even more....etc etc That's how sometimes you see highway traffic at a stand still for no apparent reason. I Love lonely country roads!!!!!

I need one of the metal braces/brackets for my 88 trunk It's on the right side (looking from the rear of the bike) It's the offset "L" shaped bracket that runs up the front side of the base section, bends towards the center of the bottom and has the flared plate on the end with 4 mounting holes Mine is broken in two, PO had it welded (badly) and it broke again. If anyone has one , please let me know and we'll work something out. Thanks

"NEW SENIOR PROGRAM.... New Medicare Program You're a sick senior citizen and the government says there is no nursing home available for you. So what do you do? Our plan gives anyone 65 years or older a gun and 4 bullets. You are allowed to shoot four Politicians. Of course, this means you will be sent to prison where you will get three meals a day, a roof over your head, central heating, air conditioning and all the health care you need! Need new teeth? No problem. Need glasses? That’s great. Need a new hip, knees, kidney, lungs or heart? They’re all covered. As an added bonus, your kids can come and visit you as often as they do now. And who will be paying for all of this? It’s the same government that just told you that you they cannot afford for you to go into a home. And you can get rid of 4 useless politicians while you are at it. Plus, and because you are a prisoner, you don't have to pay any income taxes anymore. Is this a great country or what? "

I'm thinking I'd like to paint the trailer to match the bike...but it's a polypro...whatever plastic. Not exactly the same as the picture...but you know the grey "Explorer" brand car topper box. I'm not sure if paint would stick to it. Any suggestions? Lousy picture...but you get the idea
