    A pet peeve of mine is those idiots who tail gate (in front of me) and are on the gas...then the brakes, then the gas...then the brakes....etc I always leave a good following distance so I don't have to react to the brakes every time...but then some people feel that my safe distance is an invitation to cut in in front of me. Especially when they accelerate to get past me, cut into my lane and then slam on the brakes! They have just taken my buffer zone so now I HAVE to react to the brakes. So then the guy behind me who is tailgating has to react even more....etc etc That's how sometimes you see highway traffic at a stand still for no apparent reason. I Love lonely country roads!!!!!

    I need one of the metal braces/brackets for my 88 trunk It's on the right side (looking from the rear of the bike) It's the offset "L" shaped bracket that runs up the front side of the base section, bends towards the center of the bottom and has the flared plate on the end with 4 mounting holes Mine is broken in two, PO had it welded (badly) and it broke again. If anyone has one , please let me know and we'll work something out. Thanks

    I'm thinking I'd like to paint the trailer to match the bike...but it's a polypro...whatever plastic. Not exactly the same as the picture...but you know the grey "Explorer" brand car topper box. I'm not sure if paint would stick to it. Any suggestions? Lousy picture...but you get the idea

    I believe most folks on this site recommend 20 lbs tongue weight on the bikes. (at least for the HF tag along trailers) I've done very little trailering so far...and usually very light loads

    28 years ago I was a passenger on a buddy's bike and we got caught up in an accident on the highway. I remember hearing Lots of squealing rubber all around us. My buddy was killed. He hit a 4x4 sign post and was dead before we got to the hospital. It took me about 2 years to stop tensing up every time I heard squealing tires...either from braking or acceleration.

    Riding beside Paysaw and his Honda ST1000 I could not believe how quiet it was! It could have been an electric bike! I like to hear a LITTLE...but certainly not of the window rattling type!......although I did have a straight thru 4 into 1 set up on my 83 900 Seca years ago. But that was short lived. It was a full race set up that was just TOO loud.

    The dealer told me the plastic piece with the contacts for gear indicator was no longer available. I just bought a new tip and spring....I think it cost me $10.....but haven't installed it yet.

    Not to defend the bad guys...but at what point does it stop being self defense? They were falling all over themselves trying to get away, they ran out of the shop, one guy was on the ground and the old man was still shooting!

    Camerojunkie85...are you having any issues with your tach? I seem to remember someone saying that misfire problems with the #1 cyl along with tach problems indicates TCI problems. I might have it all screwed up...ANYONE??? HELP!

    Are you saying that is all they are willing to PAY you for your bike????....Or is that how much you have to pay to get the bike back. To get the bike back for $300 seems pretty good....tires are probably worth 1/2 that at least and I'm sure there are other parts you can use on your "new" VR.

    Fingeer Lakes of NY then head to 1000 Islands in Brockville to Kingston. Take Hwy 15 to Ottawa, follow #7 to Peterborough then on to Tobormorry...take the Chechemin ferry to Manitoulin Island, get off the north end of the island and head west to Sault Ste Marie and cross into Michagan. I've done all of that route at different times (except cross into the US from Sault Ste Marie. I looped around back east from there. I've ridden from Chicago to the southern tier of NY.... I thnk that would be a great ride!
