  1. Could have been Jayceesfolly....I know he was very happy with his.
  2. Try spraying some starter aerosol or use an unlit propane torch around your boots. if the idle changes at all you still have a leak.
  3. Some people are just kill joys!
  4. If your tach is dropping out....and if the cyl that cuts out is the #2 (Front left when sitting) then it's probably the TCI. (at least I THINK that is what I've learned from this site not from personal experience)

I got a pm plus groundhugger's suggestion...both to do with PAINT clear coat. Is this the same product I should use on the aluminum cases? I would have thought there was a product specifically for that.

    Clear coat

    bump....no suggestions?
  13. Any suggestons on what type of clear coat to use on side covers? Mine is partially flaked off so while I have them off with a stator change I may as well polish them up and re-clear coat them.
  14. I was looking for the water activated little bird to push the button (from the Simpson's)
  15. gonna go in and change the stator on the bike with a real good looking one I got off my parts bike. I think the last time I did any gaskets was about 40 years ago! We used to use gasket glue. Is that still used or is just the gasket alone good enough? To save me searching for it...could someone remind me what should I use to seal up around the plugs?
  16. you've changed enough TCI's that I would have thought you eliminated that problem. You've changed plugs....so I would think maybe coils or plug wires? (not that I really know what I'm talking about....but it seems you've already covered the TCI issue) and not to add to your burden...but did you see my PM of a few days ago?
  17. I'm trying to eat healthier....so I'm having more salad.
  18. I didn't see the blog until you mentioned it now. Then I went back to look for the link. (post #9 for those looking for it.) I followed your trip on here...but enjoyed reading your blog this morning. I WANNA DO THAT TOO!!!!!
  19. 1st post I read this morning....started my day with a smile!
  20. could it just be the gasket that has it "glued" in place? and to be sure... because it's a mistake I would probably make.......it's the left side while sitting on the bike !
  21. a couple of things don't look familiar so I assume you're NOT talking about your 87 right?
  22. won't have to worry about mosquito's for a few days anyway!
  23. I could tell you stories that would make your hair curl...but that would come under the catagory of "too much information"!
  24. Just be sure she is drinking. with a sore gut she may not eat...but they gotta drink! Ours were really quiet for a couple of days. One licked the wound so much we had to get one of those collars so it could heal.

    Voyager

I thinking my wife might just be willing to ride if it was a trike. And I just happen to have a perfectly good 85 (with 88 engine) at the moment. My question is.....does anyone know if a voyager kit is legal in Ontario? I asked this in another thread but that was a bit of a hijack.
