  1. some seafoam? I would give it a good heavy dose...or even Yammer Dan's favorite 50/50 treatment. I tried to find the link but couldn't. basically you just make up a mixture of 50/50 ofgas and seafoam disconnect your fuel line from the tank (make sure the shut off is OFF!) allow the pump to suck the mixture into the carbs and let it sit for 24 hours. Maybe someone else can explain it better or find the link...but that's about it.
  2. Thinking of you and your wife..... It's been a few days....how is she doing?
  3. Sorry I didn't see you Evan! Guess I'll be a no show too. Missed it by 1 day...just didn't work out
  4. Really disappointed. Lots of leather, helmes and tires...and of course bikes. Very few accessories. All I bought besides an overpriced snack were some rain mitts First time there in over 25 years....not worth the drive or the wait
  5. It was the 600th anniversary of the founding of a beautiful Austrian village. In honor of the occasion the village built a 6 story Clarion with bells of all sizes and tones on each level. There was to be a ceremony at the end of which the Clarion would be played by Hans, the local bell ringer who had years of experience in other countries. Two day before the ceremony was to be held Hans dropped dead of a heart attack. Although the grief of the organizing committee was great, they had to find a replacement clarion artist and FAST! They called the international Clarion Operator's Association, (ICOA), searched the internet, poured thru library references and Finally found someone in Belgium who had experience with a clarion. The new replacement immediately jumped on a train to the village....almost a full day's journey and was met at the station by the village officials. The celebration was just wrapping up when he finally arrived. It was time to PLAY!!!! He jumped out of the car, and immediately ran up the stairs of the clarion...anxious to play beautiful music. Unfortunately, in his haste, he tripped over the top step on the 6th floor, falling head first into the first of the bells. It was a horrible scene as he bounced off one bell and into another smashing his head one many of the bells as he fell 6 floors to his death. At the bottom of the now bloodied clarion, one of the villagers looked at another and exclaimed "Oh this is terrible! What a way to die! Who was he?" The 2nd villager said.............. I don't know but his face sure rings a bell! :rasberry::rasberry:
  6. I bought a remote control switch for my block heater, just an extension cord with the remote switch and a hand held controller. I think I paid about $20 off ebay
  7. to be replaced with??????

  9. Thanks Dale...Not likely to be out that way for quite awhile...if ever...but thanks for the offer.
  10. Thanks Jeff! looking forward to the bike show next week in Toronto. They might have some specials on there.
  11. I was a member of a group buying lottery tickets (LONG time ago!) never won much except free tickets or a few bucks which was re-invested. Then we won 5,000 The guy running it said "oh my wife bought the wrong numbers this week" I told him to show us the tickets...never did. $5000....and loss of 9 friends. Gotta wonder if he felt it was worth it.
  12. I was never very good with dates...so I just got married.
  13. I was taught (from my English parents) that the day after Christmas was when gifts (Boxes) were given to servants and left for the mail man, milk man etc.
  14. I saw on the news that one couple who lost power had a generator running in their attached garage....they died of CO poisoning. They are SUPPOSED to be air tight from the house....but I wouldn't bet my life on it. They don't call it the silent killer for nothing.
  15. yep...that's the one. He said he paid $5500 which is about 5 Grand too much for me!!!!!
  16. EDIT- sorry folks ....I can't seem to get the link but do an EBAY search for " Hydraulic GROUND LEVEL - FLAT LOADING Motorcycle - Trike Trailer / Loader" and you'll get there. Nice...but a little rich for me!
  17. Thanks for the offer Jim! I have a 4 x 8 "landscape" style trailer...but it's pretty heavy alone...never mind the bike as well. I'm really concerned about the Sentra handling much weight. Never really thought about towing much when I bought it. I think the stinger style looks like a good choice. I emailed the company and they said that towing a "980 pound Goldwing the tongue weight is only 124 pounds" but they also said you can't adjust the location of the axle to balance the weight.
  18. As one of Jehovah's Witnesses I try to live my life according to the Bible and avoid anything that involves religious teachings that are not supported by the Bible. It is well known that Dec. 25 is NOT the actual day of Christ's birth but is a date arbitrarily assigned. BUT....even though I don't get involved in Christmas or other holidays, I don't get offended if someone offers me good tidings or best wishes...no matter how it is worded. Of course if they KNOW my beliefs and wish me a Merry Christmas so as to just rub my nose in it....then that's a different matter. I sincerely hope that all of you who do celebrate the occasion have a peaceful and happy time with your families.
  19. oh shut up!
  20. Thanks for the link. I'm talking about a "trailer"caddy that holds the front wheel....not the type where the front wheel is suspended by the hitch. I thought that would allow very little tongue weight. Like I said...Nissan Sentra!!!!
  21. About the only way I'm ever going to get to go to distant places with my bike AND my wife is to trailer the bike. She just can't handle any more than 2-3 hours on the bike. My tow vehicle is a 2013 Nissan Sentra...not really built for towing anything! I'm wondering...is a bike caddy a good choice? I'm talking about the dolly that carries the front wheel with the rear wheel on ground. Can that harm the drive train on the bike? What about the HF trailer....12" wheels, 4 x 8 frame. 1750 lb capacity http://www.harborfreight.com/automotive-motorcycle/trailer-accessories/1720-lb-capacity-super-duty-48-inch-x-96-inch-utility-trailer-with-12-inch-five-lug-wheels-and-tires-94564.html
  22. I used to be a were-wolf... ...but I'm alright Nooooooooowwwwww!!! (simulated wolf howl for those who don't get it)
  23. I lived 45 min away from work...out in the country. I never missed a day of work because of snow. But some guys couldn't make it in from 15 min away.....go figure.
  24. Ok....Don said he is "done with this thread"....so....... What do you think of the drug addicts who supply guns to those child molesting republican clergy who are so obviously mis-guided in the way they represent their religion? The government really should do something but they have to get out of Afganistan before they have the manpower because there is so much corruption in politics they have misapplied funds and are bankrupting the country. I think that just about covers the hot spots. Oh yeah....1st gens are faster...but I think that comment is allowed. hee hee
  25. Sorry to hear about your neice Gary. Good reminders for us guys concerning Prostate checks too.
