    Strike

I think the bad side wins.... A lightning strike when a mate strikes you a workplace strike when a car strikes a bike in traffic all bad.

    JIS

valuable tool yes.... But $20 apiece valuable???? Its a screwdriver for Pete's sake!!!
  3. I got a ticket one time. The ruling was braking has to be to the point that all inerta has stopped...so they want to see the car rock back as it stops. If the wheels are turning They are earning!
  4. Puc's son called him rather than Drink and drive. That's not the case with rbig1's son If he's DUI I don't think anyone can sit back and wait for him to straighten out. If he hurts or kills someone, and you could have prevented it, you would be just as blood guilty as him. Hard as it may be....I think he HAS to be taken off the streets.
  5. I bought a tankless propane water heater a couple of years ago to replace my electric tank...still haven't got around to installing it. With the price of propane now I gotta wonder if it will work out any cheaper!!
  6. You know....I never really thought about it till just now...... Freebird bought a harley and Yammer bought a 2nd gen. The world as we know it has changed!
  7. You may remember Roy Clarke from "Hee Haw" I found this while cruising YouTube, a guest apprearance on "The Odd Couple" WOW!

    Why?

why do I find such idiocy so compelling. Could it possibly be that I am sinking to the low level of why? why is a George Jones song running thru my head?
  9. A local guy offered me this bike in exchange for my 85 with 88 engine. He offered a hand made guitar also in the deal. I'm wondering what that might be worth. I'm asking 1500 for my bike. The guitar neck looks like it was splattered with paint...but I'm pretty sure that's just reflection. The bike tank is painted flat black....badly....would need a repaint. Rattle can is good enough. Thinking it might be a bike for my wife...who has never ridden yet.
  10. Hang in there Randy, I had to watch both my mother and my father die from cancer. They both died at home. My Mum pretty much died in my arms. It's hard...no two ways about it. But although the pain is there and always will be, it does get easier with time. You can get thru this difficult time. But it's too much to do alone. Keep on asking God for help to sustain you and he will.
  11. We've all been wiped off the face of the earth!!!!! NOBODY is showing on the members map. Just a heads up.
  12. The whole thing started with me saying I was surprised there was no comments about the game. I also stated I am politically neutral and don't really care who won.....I merely wanted to state that I thought it was an exciting game. I like sports for the sake of the game, to appreciate the skill involved. Like someone said...it's a game! but like so many other things, big business and the pursuit of the almighty dollar, along with the divisions that nationalism causes spoils the fun. Are americans better than canadians or canadians better than russians just because one or the other is on the wrong side of a dotted line on a map? The comments on this thread just show how "testy" some can get about it. Can't we just enjoy the game?
  13. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. any day you can ride is a good day!
  15. http://www.wimp.com/poweredtrack/ kinda looks like fun!
  16. The Report about the couple killed with the spool of wire said the maximum penalty for an unsafe load causing death or serious injury is 60 Days!!!! unbelievable!!!
  17. Saw exactly that type of demonstration on Daily Planet to make "snow"...same idea.
  18. It's been awhile and nobody has commented on the Canada's amazing comeback to win women's hockey gold! What a game! Down 2-0 with 2 minutes or so left to play....but they came back to win in OT to be neutral (as I am) the score did not reflect the quality of play. The US outplayed Canada for most of the game but Canada came thru with the big plays. It's a shame it ended due to a penalty instead of a penalty shot. But it was an exciting game!
  19. chili for supper?
  20. First thought would be try a different headset. It's possible both sets you have have bad microphones
  21. I retired when I was 54 It's great being young enough to enjoy things...but going early means a smaller pension so we really have to watch the pennies. But who cares! I'M FREE!!!! WHOOOOOOO Now get out there and get the health issues under control so you can enjoy your retirement properly!
  22. Yep....that's why I said I understand the desire for an electronic unit......but although they are called throttle locks you can still "blip" them or adjust them as required without unlocking and resetting. So to "fine tune" it....just a minor twist instead of pushing a button. You can twist the throttle....if it is set up correctly, it provides just enough resistance to hold it against the spring action...not so much that you can't turn it.
  23. It seems odd that a throttle lock isn't acceptable because of a lack of straight roads...but electronic cruise control will be. Although I understand the desire for a better system, there are few roads where the type of cruise will make a difference. IMHO the only deciding factor is that electronic is a hair faster to disengage.
  24. uh....I've lived a sheltered life I guess.....sang it.....listened to it....but still don't know what it means.
  25. I don't think you CAN attach a picture to a pm can you?
