  1. Sorry guys...but you are both wrong. It is the FRONT brake in the LINKED rear brake that's giving Greg problems. The reservoir for the linked brake is NOT the high point so you BOTH are talking out your buttocks! LOL
  2. That is SOOOO COOL!!!!! The guy riding it didn't look all that big....I wonder what the weight of it actually is? I've been looking at rv toy haulers....with that all I'd need is a sub compact
  3. Boy....sounds like "somebody" sold you a pile of junk!!! I looked up some old threads..... Here is one suggestion I found. Do the rear brake first, then the front and then bleed the valve that is up by the steering head. It's right in front of the false tank cover, a little to the right side. Because it is a high point, up by the steering head would be a collection point for any air trapped in the lines.
  4. ah.....that explains why he gave up his first gen. 'cause he's getting old!!!!!! did I say GETTING??
  5. I've got blonde 84 I bought I was going to strip for parts. I know it has 2nd gear issue. So far just some plastic and carbs are off. what would be the code for Feb 84?

    hauling pet

We have 3 dogs. 2 are Pom crosses and they ride in the saddlebags with the lids off. (see the pics) We put blankets and pillows in there to protect from any muffler heat and so they can see out. We tie their harnesses so they can't get out. (only one tried once when stopped) The 3rd is a 3 1/2 lb yorkiepoo and she rides in a papoose on my wife's chest. Basically just a soft bag with a short leash. She sometimes climbs out of the papoose and rides on my shoulder! It's fun to watch peoples reactions!
  7. there's a link on here somewhere on how to pick up these beasts. basically turn your back to it and use your legs to walk it up. NOTE: doesn't work if you are pinned under it against wood pile.
  8. I looked and I looked and I COULDN'T SEE the ebay/kijiji forum when I posted in the watering hole about a trike body for sale But it was right there all along ....right under my nose. SO....sorry about that! One of the mods put it where it belonged right away....but I claim short term memory loss or just long term dumbness?
  9. I would suggest you also replace the glass fuse block with the spade fuses. Lots of folks (myself included) have had issues with the contacts cracking or breaking off the 30 year old fuse block. That will give you a chance to clean up the wiring while you are at it and install a power source (cigarette lighter) for charging your gps or cell phone.
  10. Not a very safe rider.....I noticed your seatbelt warning light was flashing!
  11. can't you just start a new ebay account? Or a new paypal account. I would THINK if you used a different email and credit card you would be able to. mind you...you would lose all your feedback ratings....and I don't know for sure if it would work...just throwing it out there. OR....get a family member to set up an account for you.
  12. I need the complete antenae, folding base and if the support bracket is a bolt on, then I could use that too. Not sure if it is short or long but it is for my 88 VR and it has to be long enough to come out from under the side of the trunk box
  13. Hmmmmm......lets compare. 1 US gallon = 3.8 Litres Right now gas is $1.43 a litre 3.8 x 1.43= $5.43 per us gal!!!!!!!! So quit your complaining already! Sorry for the Highjack.....sounds like you are having a fun time Puc.....keep on keeping us posted!
  14. if it turns out that it has a salvage title you can't ever licence it for the road in Ontario....at least that is my understanding.
  15. I'm looking for a 1st Gen fold-able CB/am/fm antenna. I put an ugly stick on mine but ... (1) I don't like the look of it...to big and bulky looking (2) I have to slice my cover to be able to put it on the bike (3) It's so heavy it broke the mounting bracket off the rear carrier! I "discovered" it dragging behind the bike one afternoon.worn in places from road rash. So....if ANYONE know where I can get a stock am/fm/cb antenna that folds down at the bottom for a reasonable price, PLEASE let me know.
  16. TEN YEARS AFTER Going Home Far out man! (thats not a song hee hee)
  17. But I can go HOURS and HOURS without having to use a restroom (or tree)...so under the urination rule,a lot of states are so small I wouldn't be allowed to "mark" them. (come on....think about it) At Galina last year there was talk of riding to the "4 corners" so we could mark them off our map. I doubt the plan was to spend much time in each state.
  18. looking for a good inexpensive looper pedal. I was told BOSS is a decent name...Anyone got one they want to let go? I see a few on ebay...but I thought I'd try here first
  19. I would be interested in hearing how it works as my wife often complains about buffeting
  20. truth be told thats why Carl is on 3 wheels:stickpoke:
  21. oldI reported a scam on Kijii...selling a $20,000 Kabota for $5000 . He was overseas and the tractor was in the NWT. Offered to accept payment to EBay Escrow services (no such thing) etc etc I called the police but they said there was nothing they could do. The scammer could be in Timbucktwo and even if they knew where they were, they could move on to a new email etc.
  22. Puc...that IS style....just like I tell people I'm in great shape. ('cause round IS a shape!)
  23. He hasn't been on since April 6
  24. not too sure about the red ones....but I've heard stories of the black ones having it done!
  25. Two of our dogs ride in the saddle bags with the lids removed...the little yorkie-poo rides in a papoose on my wife's chest.
