Hi Folks, I need a stock folding CB antennae. mine broke awhile ago. I bought a Firestick but it doesn't fold and it just looks to bulky for my liking. The thing is so heavy it actually broke the bracket off the trunk mount rack. I also need a couple of hinges for the trunk box (Mark II if that matters) If anyone has a junk box and they are willing to take off the hinges it would be VERY appreciated. Willing to pay shipping and a REASONABLE price. ....just not ebay gold digger prices.

You dont' need any tools to To check the steering bearings. ...to Adjust them...yes...but not to check them. Just get the front wheel off the ground. Give the handlebars a swift push to one side. The forks should hit the stop and bounce back VERY LITTLE. I would say no more than an inch or so. If they bounce back further, the bearing is too loose....if they don't bounce back at all....too tight.

Years ago I owned a 400 ducatti moto-crosser. That same bike had won a major Canadian Championship a couple of years before I bought it. All I remember about it is a couple of trips to the hospital and selling it as a basket case.

I did my clutch at a Maintenance Day with Skydoc looking over my shoulder. He told me to tighten the bolts by using a small ratchet wrench but don't hold the handle....hold the head of the ratchet under the palm of your hand. That way you only use your wrist to tighten the bolts and can't really crank them down. A little past snug is all it took. That was on my 84...over 3 years ago now and it's still going strong.

The pump is working as it should Plugs might be it. I have done a couple of heavy doses of seafoam

My 88 starts very easily once warmed up but it sure won't first thing in the morning! I HAVE RESORTED TO USING EITHER Even on warm days I almost kill the battery trying to get it fired up I've tried lots of choke...no choke...1/2 choke...giving it a twist while cranking... or not... HELP at this rate I'm going to burn out my starter I a seafoam pretty regularly

The additional Lock option stops it from falling over and stabilized it at low speed. If it was to fall over it would only be so far as and even then hydraulics will bring it right back up again. at worst the FAQ says it will lean as far as to drag the footpegs I like it but $13000 for the full package is a lot of money on top of the bike.

Let's review...... He couldn't get the air bled out so he unhooked the front line from the rear master. The question was if it was OK to do that. Most said no. The conflict came because we wer discussing bleeding a LINKED system...because if he had the front disconnected HE DIDN'T NEED TO BLEED IT!!! SHEEESH!!!!!! ...now back to the blow by blow:rotf:
