Ruffy...did you not see my post (#2) The contract will be issued shortly. It would be helpful if you could provide the following information. a current picture of yourself, your home address, your work address (including deptartment if required). A Phone number would where you can be reached to set up the hit....I mean ..the meet and greet.... and perhaps directions to your location would be appreciated also. The "boys" will then contact you. If you could be sure to stand very still at the designated meeting time...for just a few minutes...it would also make their job easier. I would like to thank you in advance for your cooperation (as I will not be able to thank you afterwards!) :rasberry::rasberry:

interesting links....thanks for that....I guess the problem with my bike is that the vin # is NOT 17 digits...it is only 9 digits. Using The link to WikiAnswers...my bike is a chev, manufactured in Mexico! anyway...I double checked the vin to ensure it was accurate on my ownership and I noticed the plate (located on the bottom frame rail, right side under the running board) has a date of manufacture on it. FEB 1983 So that answers that...anyway.

I took the armature in to a starter rebuild shop and they tested it...it was OK I did the Dingy mod and now it won't even turn over even if I connect a good battery Pos. directly to the terminal and Neg to the long screws holding the starter together. I've ordered new brushes even though I think my old ones are almost new (see pic in Post #1) QUESTION: 1 brush has bare wires...the other is shielded with "fabric" type sheath. The fabric is basically rotten so I taped it with electrical tape...but I'm concerned it might just melt off. But could that cause it to not even turn over? Could it be something else???

My 83 VR serial number is 31N000 then 3 more digits just under 500 So is mine one of the first 500 ever made? That could explain a lot!

They make it simple here...tags are due on your birthday. You can get them for one or two years...depending if they need "drive Clean" inspection or not upon renewal. Years ago bike's didn't have "tags" at all....you got a lifetime plate...same as trailers are for us now. But now bikes are treated the same as cars....HMMMM That raises a question....do bikes in Ontario have to get "Drive Clean"?

I've picked a safe spot, pulled over to the shoulder and slowed down to a crawl so they will pass. Life's too short to sweat the idiots

I was cruising around with my buddy in his old beat up VW. Can't remember if they all had it...but this one had an "OH SH#T" handle on the dash in front of the passenger. We went screaming around this one 90 degree corner....and the door, which I was leaning against, flew open. So completely mis-using what few brains the good Lord gave me, I promptly let go of the "0H SH#T handle so I could break my fall as I fell out onto the ground. Can you say "DUH!"?

I'm sure someone will appreciate the greater light output....but for me I just can't get past the look of it. I like the stock look so much more. Just me for what its worth.
