Alrighty then.. I will take ONE please Let me know when or if you do then and how you want me to pay one day! I am sure you will have more that want one. Thanks for doing this if you decide to sell a few of them. Thanks, Jeff -- I believe I can get to that spot from under the Trike. I was under that same area last week . -

bring your trailer, those bags alone will cost $35 each to ship and then there is all the other parts, or remove bags before you leave :-)

HMS RetroFit Reverse is now avalible to the End User
Cougar replied to Cougar's topic in Trike & Sidecar Talk
Well I must say this was an Adventure for sure. If your even thinking of getting tank from Larry I would recommend doing the reverse at the same time. I did do the whole thing with the body on the Trike. Took about 20 hours or so.. lots of bugs they need to fix and they will before the next kit comes out or is ready. I think when all is worked out with details one could do this in about 12 hours or so. Had to do things like enlarge holes in some metal parts. Hannigan forgot to send a couple parts, all was good they sent them out right away, I just have to button up the top false fender area and take it for a spin tomorrow, I have about 40 photos of the install with the body still on. And a YouTube of the parts working I will post soon. (wasn't all the way done yet) so with out the tires on and it having some drag its kind of noisy. but it works. I want to Thank Larry for sending me some much needed photo's so I could complete this project. as Hannigan I think will use some of mine and his now. there instructions still need work. Also, thanks to Jim for the support you gave me from Hannigan. Can't wait to be able to back out of the garage tomorrow :-) I will try and do some type of write up and I will just post all the photos tomorrow so there here. nothing in order right now. just what I had to go through. Jeff -
You won't need a angle fitting for the U-Joint. works fine with the straight. The angle ones are for the TWO (one on each side) up front on top behind the fender. stick your hand up in there and you will feel them. no way to grease those unless you have a angle fitting. like you say your is brand new and shinny just worry about it in the next couple years
-
I was also looking into one of those as well last month. still haven't (pulled the trigger yet)
-
Here is what the 90 deg fitting looks like and the part number if anybody is interested, for the fittings under the front part of the fender. maybe tilt your head a bit

HMS RetroFit Reverse is now avalible to the End User
Cougar replied to Cougar's topic in Trike & Sidecar Talk
This is part one , Just some photos of what's in the box. Chihuahua not included. Also there is a 27 page instruction sheet I almost can understand. with photos , 1/4 of it is removing the body and aux tank. Will see now if I can really install this with the body left on the Trike. It does look as if the body was off it would be easier. The box and content was wrapped very well with no damage to any parts. the box weighed 31 lbs. as you can see that was the left over wrap from all the parts 10* Stars for great shipping and protection of parts. Here we go !!! Sorry for some blurry photos. way to tired right now. The couple photos are of the large resister (red wires )box with them inside that will be mounted under the false fender , this helps slow the starter motor down a bit as at first it was way to fast. The Motor was reworked by Hannigan and it is a (edit) -- Compact Chevy Starter. 1.4 KW -

Leo, went to my local auto shop today and I ask the guys about them bolts and I asked if they can be torqued to 100 Ft lbs like Jim says. they say no problem as there very hard and the thread is about the same size has the head of that bolt. The one guys says he just always torques them by feel as well . I also picked up MEDIAM loc-tit he said to used that grade on them. not the blue to weak. I believe when I add my new reverse gear there I will have longer bolts anyways and it should tell me the torques to use in the instructions. Jeff
