Also going to remove the (Vetter parts) and bring it back to the standard look as well. (might leave the front fairing , not sure yet) looking for a headlight to put into the spot when the vetter fairing was put on.. I guess they put a plug into the original head light housing.

3. That is sweet! I like it! Be nice to have a smaller trailer once in a while. not sure if it would be large enough for some of our trips or not? But I really do like it lots! what was the cost of it, if I my ask? Jeff

8. Vance , that is exactly what I did, A much better place for my wife to plug in at. Jeff
9. If you look at the bracket you have enough space to add some holes,. I added one lower to bring it down more. if you get creative you could even move it up higher. I wanted more lower back support myself. Jeff
10. I just drilled an extra hole and moved it.
11. I know , I know ya think I am crazy . Anyways, I got this project finished today. I now can run both Odyssey Battery's at the same time or run one at a time with my Big Perko Switch! The Odyssey in the trunk is the 680 a little larger, I also am going to put my cell charger and some other stuff to power off of the trunk battery. I can charge both at the same time or one at a time. OR run BOTH at 12 volts at the same time now. I still have to put a rubber cover over the positive side input though. I also can use it as a back-up Battery as well Anyways here are the pics. Jeff (the thing behind the Perko Switch is my AMP that I installed about 3 years ago)
12. Got that as well, but interested in the little larger grips myself

16. Jerry, I had noticed oil when I was removing my carbs from this area as well, I ended up placing new foam gaskets around the area shown. there from like the storm window gasket strips that you find in the hardware store. (notice the oil at the end of the plastic carb air intake) http://www.venturerider.org/rsvcarbremoval/image036.jpg It seems to be like a carb blow-bye thing.. not sure. Here is the rest of the article if you want to see it. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=7830 Jeff
17. Ditto on what Freebird says, it is amazing how much smoother the bike is after a good carb sync. Jeff
18. EXCELLENT! Great job!
19. Freebird, I Just purchased a Odyssey Batter charger with All the bells and whistles.. There charge charges at a higher rate and drops off. using a regular charger on those battery's will never get it to its proper charge. Look on there site. Mine is 4 years old now and this charger will even recondition the battery, since I have never had it to it's fullest charge ever. just a thought. also that battery should last another 5 years. OR give them a call. Jeff
20. Nope, http://www.ride-on.com/prod_plt.asp
21. Stuck Float? , I know that I was having some of those problems I did ALL the seafoam in the world, took them carbs apart and umm what a mess. now this was just me.. not saying that is your problem, also my floats were at different heights etc. They have been fine ever since. when that was happing to me I was having raw fuel coming out of the holes under the exhaust and dripping onto the floor once in a while. bike only had 4,000 miles on it back then. Jeff
22. *opps* Sorry you said SET.... Press the SELECT button once for less than 1 second to store the station you can store up to 6 station on each 3 different bands good luck Jeff
23. Hit the Far left Button until you get the the radio on the screen and use the up down keys to locate your favorite program.
24. To get different splash screens. Once you download the one you want just put it in your "Garmin" folder in the Zumo. You should already have a file in there named "zumo_Splash_Screen" which is the factory installed splash screen. Once you have the file on your Zumo you'll then need to go to settings (click on wrench), scroll down until you see "Display" click on that. Look for "Splash Screen" on the left it should be the second one down from top. To the right of that will be "Change..." touch that and you should see your new splash screen. Touch the one you want as your splash screen and it will change and then ask "Do you want to save this image as your splash screen?" If you do touch yes and you'll have your new splash screen. actually if you take any jpeg picture and shrink it to under 60k you can use that for your start up or splash screen load it as the instruction say.
