  1. Thanks for the replies. Thinking I'm going to put it someplace accessable when I rebuild and might come up with ideas for it at a later time. Now that I know its there, hate to think of a use and have it under all that fairing:stickinouttounge:
  2. First off HAPPY NEW YEAR! Found this plug on a tear down and was going to post the question, then found this thread. So I came up with a new question; With this being live with ignition can I use this as an alternitave 12v power supply? Or does its power range change while cruising? (something to do with cali emmisions) thnx for any ideas. Maybe christmas lights:whistling:
  3. WARNING; do not read after abdominal surgery:happy-emoticon:
  4. Just did plugs on my 88 and found that the coolant hose clips could cause enough iterferance with getting the socket in straight. A little DW40 to help slid the clips up can save alot of aggrevation and the socket will slip in straight. Just don't do what I did and forget to slide the clips back down befor recapping plugs:no-no-no:
  5. Gotta love WD40 a little juice, couple skinned knuckles and muttering got the clips moved up. after that pulled plugs easy. Put anti-sieze and di-electric grease on new plugs and installed, caps on and bike starts great. Let it warm up and....:shock3: FORGOT TO SLIDE COOLANT HOSE CLIPS DOWN! Now waiting for it to cool down and fix my oops.:bang head:
  6. Trying to change plugs on my '88 VR but can't get the socket into left front and right rear heads. The coolant line clips are creating just enough interference were I can't get the socket to go in straight (zero tolerence ) . Tried to move the clips, got them broken loose but won't slide up the hose. any ideas? thnx Markus
  7. Calgary's Can. tire has carried it for awhile @ $11.99 Still cheaper than most of the parts stores here: 13-15 dollars
  8. Thats what I thought might happen, if I want to take out headset speakers I'd need to toggle the H.PH off to hear thru bike speakers then turn it back on before pushing PTT and talking. making a lot more button pushing for myself.
  9. Does anyone know if I can cut out the CB headphones and still use the mic by pulling the corasponding pins on the plug-in. What I'm looking to do is have the transmission come thru the bike speakers but I don't want to do any permanent damage to the DIN plug on the bike. thanks Markus
