Bad Boy Horn - Am I missing something???
kj5ix replied to elmicko's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
See if this explains it some. http://www.bcae1.com/relays.htm -
The Upgrade of the Year, or I think so. Bike MP3 has an Upgrade Program for the next 5 to 7 days ONLY. Details are on the web site. http://www.bikemp3.com/GL1800-MP3-Player-Upgrade-Scheme-HGW-MP3-UPG.htm Now for the good or best part. Read paragraph 3 carefully. Did you catch it,, If you have an MP3 Player that plugs into the GL1800 system you qualify to Upgrade to the New V-3 Bike MP3 plug and play system. Yepp if you have a J&M, Ipod Shuffle, or another working player that is working, but you want the functionality of the handlebar controls, here is the opportunity to get it as an Upgrade. And Yes there is one in the works for the Venture

The Gerbing T5 are reported to be water proof. I have the G3's and other gloves heated and regular, and spray them once a year with Camp Dry. That seems to work for me. Works good on boots also, but not so well on tennis shoes,,,

I switched a couple of years back to Geico from Foremost, and saved about half, but Progressive is also good from what I hear. Be sure that you talk to some one and make sure that they understand that it is a Trike. It will more than likely be listed as an accessory, but covered. I have both under one policy and it is right at $600 +- full coverage.

Yep I think they are the culprit. It got down to 15 last night and today there is a good puddle on the left side cover, and under the Trike,,, Now for the big question?? I couldn't tell from the parts fiche the correct part number. Is this the right number: SKU: 90338-11152-00 Part # 9 of the crankcase If that is them, now all I have to do is find a Steelier that has them in stock. I checked the shipping on a couple of sites, and it is $22.00 May have to take a chance on a local dealer ( closest I know of is 100 miles ) Put dimes on the left side for the time being, maybe it will at least slow it down some. -

I got a cheap set of hex wrenches which I promptly cut and JB'ed into spar 1/4 sockets to have 1/4 hex sockets for the 1/4 torque wrench. Now I don't have to rethink the set on the torque wrench to compensate for adapters...... and a small bag of lumps of coal,,,,

Herb, this may help a little. You can go a little longer on the tongue, but not shorter than the 1.5 http://nomad.eurekaboy.com/mctrailer51.jpg

Great words Don, Thanks from Texas, and Merry Christmas

That is what I did,, Then the next time I was at Harbor Freight I got a set of long sockets,,,,, In the process of making a set of hex sockets for my 1/4 torque wrench this week end. Those little jewels are out of sight in cost, one: 5mm x 1.5 inch X1/4 drive is $17.00 Thats Each not a set Thats out rageious so I bought a cheap $5 buck set of 21 piece mixed sae/mm and going to make the hex's that are most used, and needed. We have eaten at Willies before, when we are there camping we eat breakfast at Pam's early in the morning. Good eatin all over town..

I know it is too late, but you should have gotten the Traxxon springs. I put them in my 1800, and there is a world of difference, there will be also with the Progressive too. Not that bad of a job. I hope that you have long hex sockets, and at least a butterfly to get the bolts out of the bottom of the tubes. I ride 4 a lot, and go through there going to Grandburry

I thought everybody P'ed outside,,,,,,,,, I had to put in one myself

Great: He should have really got the full Monty from those Jar Heads... I read the full story, and saw the interview, and loved it all. Along the same or similar lines here is one that is a year or two old, and may or may not have much actual truth in it, but is still great. From "The Leatherneck" THE ATHEIST AND THE MARINE A United States Marine was attending some college courses between assignments. He had completed missions in Iraq and Afghanistan . One of the courses had a professor who was a vowed atheist and a member of the ACLU. One day the professor shocked the class when he came in. He looked to the ceiling and flatly stated, 'God, if you are real, then I want you to knock me off this platform. I'll give you exactly 15 minutes.' The lecture room fell silent. You could hear a pin drop. Ten minutes went by and the professor proclaimed, 'Here I am God. I'm still waiting.' It got down to the last couple of minutes when the Marine got out of his Chair, went up to the professor, and cold-cocked him; knocking him off the plat form! . The professor was out cold. The Marine went back to his seat and sat there, silently. The other students were shocked and stunned and sat there looking on in silence. The professor eventually came to, noticeably shaken, looked at the Marine and asked, 'What the hell is the matter with you? Why did you do that?' The Marine calmly replied, 'God was too busy today protecting America's soldiers who are protecting your right to say stupid **** and act like an *******. So, He sent me.' http://www.leatherneck.com/forums/images_ln/statusicon/user_offline.gif

I had a Michelin Pilot on my GL1800 for 29000 miles on the front 0, none, nada, zip external weights, just the Dyna Beads in the tire. Now I have a BT-45 on it with the beads in it. The Venture has a Continental with beads. I think they work great.- 30 replies

Probably can, if you have a pressure tester, and have the tank off to get to the cap, but that ( I don't think ) will tell ya where it is leaking, or seeping.
