  1. That ain't a good sign at all,,, the last time snakes were out this early it was a banner year for them in the summer,,,,,,,, not good at all.. Hope the hounds get over this too..
  2. I guess I am missing something here,, other than the paint scheme it looks like the one that has been out for some time now. Is that an old article,,
  3. Its wore out,,, You should put it out to pasture before it falls over. I have a decent corral of about 1.5 acre's here, with all the fresh grazing. When this ice storm moves away maybe. I will come get it if you pay the gas, and put it out in the corral here. What!!!!!!!!
  4. Subject: Boudin Sausage (FYI - BOUDIN IS A SPICY PORK SAUSAGE) EVERYONE IS IN A HURRY TO SCREAM 'RACISM' THESE DAYS! BOUDREAUX ASKS A STORE CLERK, 'IN WHAT AISLE COULD I FIND THE BOUDIN?' THE CLERK LOOKS AT HIM AND SAYS, 'ARE YOU CAJUN?' BOUDREAUX (CLEARLY OFFENDED) SAYS, 'WELL, YES I AM. BUT LET ME ASK YOU SOMETHING. IF I HAD ASKED FOR ITALIAN SAUSAGE, WOULD YOU ASK ME IF I WAS ITALIAN? OR IF I HAD A ASKED FOR GERMAN BRATWURST, WOULD YOU ASK ME IF I WAS GERMAN? OR IF I ASKED FOR A KOSHER HOT DOG. WOULD YOU ASK ME IF I WAS JEWISH? OR IF I HAD ASKED FOR A TACO, WOULD YOU ASK IF I WAS MEXICAN?' IF I ASKED FOR SOME IRISH WHISKEY, WOULD YOU ASK IF I WAS IRISH?' THE CLERK SAYS, 'WELL, NO, I PROBABLY WOULDN'T!' WITH DEEP SELF-RIGHTEOUS INDIGNATION, BOUDREAUX SAYS, 'WELL THEN, WHY DID YOU ASK ME IF I'M CAJUN BECAUSE I ASKED FOR BOUDIN?' THE CLERK REPLIED, "BECAUSE YOU'RE IN HOME DEPOT!"
  5. Good deal Tom, It was good talking with you. You wont regret it.....
  6. Sorry for your loss, and condolences to you and your family.
  7. That is like my FT 50 but with added features, I too haven't looked at rigs in many years. The 50 has been discontinued for a long time, and they are the best small rig they ever made.
  8. I think I did that once in Weatherford,,, but on my cooler carrier
  9. The AM/FM is what it is,,, only a good pre-amp may help there. The main causes for poor performance with 27MHz (CB) antenna Poor ground plane You need a suitable ground plane at least the length of the antenna as the radius of the ground plane in area. The copper plate wouldn't work here, not practical. A good electrical ground is the best you can hope for on a bike..... Bad SWR All antennas need to be tested and if needed tuned Antenna too short The longer the antenna the better the performance - in many aspects This is often the main cause for poor performance with 27MHz Antenna too low Antennas need to be as high as possible - especially 27MHz Antenna to close Antennas will simply not work if they are running up along any metal object such as headlights, bull bars or brick walls ( just info: unless you have a head ache rack or wall on the bike, )
  10. Dang !!! There goes the uniqueness,,,,,,,, that makes three now. Two in Canada, and mine down here... but the other one and mine are 2nd Gen...
  11. Bikenut your ground plane is already improved with the Trike kit,,,
  12. There has been several nights that it has been in the 20's, and the last 3 have been in the teens,,, 12 last night and there isn't a sign of any seeping,,,,,,
  13. I have been looking at the Scorpion also, and like the way it fits, and the drop down shield. The HJC is a little cheaper, but the curtain isn't removable, and I don't think it has the pockets for the audio,,,
  14. Thats 200MPH tape I dont think it will come off,,,,,
  15. Are these the little jewels that you are talking about,,,, I thought the photos were better.
  16. This will be the ticket when Pete gets the cable worked out for the C-Buss. We are keeping our fingers crossed on this unit. Works great on the Goldwing, but not just yet for the Venture,,,,,
  17. Maybe a little 60 or 80 grit sand paper to scuff up the area you put the JB, That will help the bond to the ABS.
  18. Only if you are going to use the fenders as part of the box support, and raise it up the 4 or so inches, which will also raise the CG, and through off the balance, and tongue weight,,,, I would think. The fenders as I remember aren't really weight bearing.

The standard rake for the Yamaha is 6 as well as for a Harley, 4.5 for most Honda's and a 5.5 available from Trike Shop ( for Honda's) I put the 1.5 risers on mine and it seemed to help a little, but wasn't really looking for steering difference I was looking to bring the bars back some for comfort.
  20. Nuttin cause your here on the forum, and board like the rest of us....... But here is just 15 minutes I am headed to DQ
  21. Yeppers: I have been using them for 3 good years now, and they ain't worth diddly I only got 29,283 miles out of the front tire with them,,,,, It was so bad that I scooped them out and put them back in when I mounted the new tire...... and to make it worst I forgot to line up the dot on the tire to the valve stem,,,, and the vibration in the mirrors is way less than it was. But it is too much trouble to break down the tire and reset it to the right spot, and more than likely not get the vibration back, so I will leave it as it is.
  22. Don, Motor Trike didn't make the kit for the RSV but about two years or maybe just 18 mos, because at the time there wasn't any interest like there was for the GW1800, and Harley. The standard rear end used by them is the Ford 7.5 Mustang GT, or Ranger. Geared at 2:73 The setup is more than likely their standard Ladder Bar suspension system. There isn't any spear room under the Goldwing, or the Harley, so I would bet that there isn't much under the RSV. 25 to 30 sounds about right to me also, I have seen as little as 19/20 bulling my camper in winds ( the camper is a tad heavy according to most at 700 lbs +- ) If you can fit or make an extra tank it will save your bacon at least once. I get about 135 to the main tank, and have the 4.5 reserve, and use it often ( just remember to fill both on a long trip ) Don't ask!!!!!!!!!! To get the best information on the kit, and what to do as maintenance call Richard Graham at Motor Trike in Troup TX. He is the only one that is still there from when they were producing them, and can help. In the mean time down load this little short service manual that I wrote in 08 for the Goldwing kit, It is only 96 pages The measurements, and distances will be different than on the RSV, but if it is a Ladder Bar system, the procedure is the same on all of the models, and bikes for adjustment. There is also a Maint Sched ( sort of ) of things that need to be looked at periodically, and checked. http://www.junkmaster.com/kj5ix/MTServiceManual.pdf
