  4. Tom, good news is that they are way way ahead of anticipated recovery, and almost have the other building set up for production, and anticipate laying glass on the Venture, and Honda as early as next Thur or Fri.... If you still have my number give me a call if you want...

  6. The most important thing is that no one was hurt in this.
  7. Look at the connector ends at the battery also to see if there is any corrosion inside the connector. If the wires on the inside are getting green it doesn't matter if the out side is good and shinny. I had that happen once took for ever to figure it out. Good current and start great cold, but hot drug like a dead battery. I re-crimped the end with a large pair of vice grips, after cleaning it with baking soda. It was good until I sold it 3 years later.....
  8. They say your journey isn't complete until you been to Lukenbach.

  14. I built mine a couple of years ago, and use it all the time, handy when you don't want to, or need to take the trailer.
  15. Seaking, Mine does the same thing, and has all along from when I got ti. The guy I got it from said it was a little intermittent. Some time it will stay set for a long time and others it disengages in less than a mile. Setting at 62 to 68 GPS. Did that As a two wheeler. I was thinking it was a leaky vacuum or weak controler..... and like mentioned wont pull a hill. I do like the curse on the 1800, set and go. Wished I could figure out how to make one like it has for the RSV.....

  20. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tires Directional Arrows Explained By Avon Tyres Published by Cyril Huze August 23rd, 2009 in Builders, Editorial and Wheels. Before we can talk about directional arrows you must first understand a bit about tread patterns. There are many different tread patterns but there is one main reason to have any tread and that is to disperse water. (dust, dirt) A tread pattern can be designed to disperse more water by making it rotate in only one direction. Thus, the need for directional arrows. The arrow tells you which way to mount a tire for maximum water dispersal. Another, less apparent reason for directional arrows is the tread splice. What is a tread splice? When a tire is manufactured the tread portion of the tire starts out as a long flat strip. This strip is wrapped around the tire and the two ends are cut on an angle so one end overlaps the other rather than having square cut ends. This overlapping point or splice offers a bigger surface area to bond together, rather than the small surface area provided by square cut ends. (Imagine gluing your fingertips together, as opposed to gluing along the entire length of your fingers laid on top of each other. Like an angled splice, the overlapping fingers result in a much stronger bond). To further ensure the strength of this bond along the tread splice the directional arrow will show you which way to mount the tire so that when the rider is “on the gas”; the acceleration force on the rear tire is pressing the splice together, rather than peeling it back. As for braking, 80 % of the braking should take place in the front on most bikes. Therefore, the front tread splice is run in the opposite direction than that of the rear, so when the rider is on the brakes, he’s not peeling the tread splice back. If you are using a tire that has a directional arrow for rear rotation only and for some reason you want to put it on the front, make sure it is rotating in the opposite direction so you don’t aggravate the tread splice. 21. The cap was my problem on my 01 just a week ago or the innards that is. I cleaned the tips of the spring, and the resistor and used electronic spray cleaner in the cap. Got the cylinder going again.
  22. EX our prayers are with you and the family for her safe return, and reunion.
  23. Yes you should have given the Trike a lot more time than 10 minutes. Some take to it right off, and others take from 500 to 100 miles to get comfortable. IMO the only way to go. If you are having problems holding it up now, trust me it ain't going to get any better,,, Support is what you need now in a side-car or Trike kit of some type. A full kit is of course always better, but a voyager add on will get you going for some less money, but remember if it isn't set up right it can be miserable to live with, and you have 4 tires to deal with, and the steering will be extremely stiff, without a rake.
  24. Try this: A lot of info, and bunch of BS. http://gl1800riders.com/forums/search.php?searchid=2131692
