  1. You mean like this: http://i382.photobucket.com/albums/oo265/kj5ix/Hannigan/S5001795.jpg http://i382.photobucket.com/albums/oo265/kj5ix/Hannigan/S5001796.jpg
  2. Looks like a vent line to me. I am not at the shop to look ( I have mine apart ), but it doesn't go to the rear shock, I took mine out the other night, and only the air line on it. Maybe the battery box drain...
  3. The Venture makes a great Trike, and the ride comfort is fantastic you cant go wring by having it Triked at all. I just cant handle any thing heaver than a bicycle any more at slow speed where it has to be held up by me, and have trouble with that even OH the Hannigan isn't a DIY Self Install Kit. It is an Installer kit, and also has its issues that have to be worked out. I have found at least three on this kit that has to be addressed, and sent back to Jim at Hannigan. ( I have already corrected them and sent photos to Jim ) I didn't get a lot done as far as actual visible progress last night, and only worked for a couple of hours. Every thing on the frame is set and tightened ( and marked ) drive-shaft set, speed-O set ( still need to road test ) brakes bled, things like that. Tonight I will set the Toe on the rear end ( tires ), and do the road test I think, then do the wiring. Normally by now I would have the body set, and doing the running boards, then the rake.
  4. Tulsa Windshields.. I have one on the wing and love it, and just yesterday got their new Tall windshield for the RSV.. Great folks to deal with. http://allamericanprod.com/windshields.html#rs
  5. What ever grease you have on hand will do it...
  6. Check out the 1800 forum classifieds, there are a lot on there right now.. http://gl1800riders.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=21
  7. Did you do the 4 to 6 hour charge that is required to set the battery up for use, or ride it for a couple hundred miles to charge it. running it for 30 minutes wont do it...
  8. Yes to both,,, The Hannigan has ZIP, NADA, ZILCH, ZERO as far as an installation instruction set, and now that they have added the gas tank ( still zero instructions for that also,, ) I will have to add that to the instructions. One would think that there was at least a page or two, on how to do the conversion. They say that your supposed to take notes at the training class yea right!!! Good thing I had a good memory. Then again this is the 8th or 9th one in a year too..... That helps. I have about 6 or 8 pages written so far, and just to the taking off of the rear wheel, and cutting the bag frame,, a lot more to go,, that is the easy part that anyone can do,,

    HF Trailer

Mel, I just took off a receiver that is for sale. Bolts up between the bag racks. Sort of look like the Venturedad one,,
  10. You wont regret doing it. I cant ride these big beast any more with my old knees, and being hard to handle in a parking lot ( slow speed ) No to mention that they are just more fun to ride after being Triked,,,
  11. It is a Hannigan kit, and the first one ( other than the test unit ) that has the optional aux gas tank. It is off right now to make the installation easer. Yepp I am having fun too,, I think I have about 8 hours into it so far, just goofin off. It will probably be done by Thur or Fri, and road tested. I am only working on it in the evenings ( because this one is mine, and there isn't a delivery day looming over my head,, ) The real fun is to come,, when I strip it back down to the frame, and send every thing in to be painted. That is going to be at least a two week wait,,,
  12. Finally getting started on the conversion. Started yesterday evening about 7PM or so. http://i382.photobucket.com/albums/oo265/kj5ix/01%20Venture/claenbeforestarting.jpg http://i382.photobucket.com/albums/oo265/kj5ix/01%20Venture/teardown.jpg http://i382.photobucket.com/albums/oo265/kj5ix/01%20Venture/teardown2.jpg At 9:45 tonight this is what I have done so far....... http://i382.photobucket.com/albums/oo265/kj5ix/01%20Venture/itsaTrike.jpg
  13. Thats about the right size too. May need some info on it. Cost, where you find it etc:
  14. I hope so I am about to do my 01 when I get it Triked. Started last night, and don't know for sure when I will get it painted, but the process is at least started...
  15. Yea I was relieved to find that out myself......
  16. If your vest is a Gerbing or Warm-n-Safe the battery side plug is available through them, and just add it to the terminals ( and fused )
  17. This is what I have for cutting the wiring harness out, and re-wiring Tail lights for the Trikes. I will just give the Bike side. Blue = Run Black = Ground Yellow = Brake Brown = Left Turn Green = Right Turn
  18. I have the wire color, and designation at the shop. I will get it and post it later this afternoon.
  19. I ask Jim about that today, and he said it could have been either way, and the BMW was on the right side. So they made it like the BMW I am just use to it being on the left on the other Trikes. I will sure be glad when I can start on it to get this little project out of the way, but alas the shop and lift is full, and looks like it will be for a week or more,,,,,,, but I will get to it. At least I have it here, and you can bet as soon as the shop clears a little I will get right on it, and mama is getting a little antsy too. The real bad thing is that when I start it it is going to tie up the shop for a good two weeks,,,,,, So I hope it doesn't get too busy for then, cause it will be in the way when I get it stripped down waiting for the painter,,,,,,,,
  20. You might try an Oz of Dyna Beads,,, I haven't even thought about it on my trailers with 8 in wheels.
  21. As you can see in the pictures it is on the right side of the Trike, and about the middle of the fender inner section. Don't know why they put it on the right,,, The pump could have gone on the right and the filler on the left. Like the others....
  22. Here are a few shots of the new gas tank in the frame. Don't know how to do the thumbnail slide show thing yet.. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/album.php?albumid=700
