    That is how you set the Toe on the rear wheels on the Hannigan Trikes ( all of them ) we use the light tubes, because they don't bend, and are straight. Any thing else can and will flex at the length needed, and it is easer to do before the rake goes on because of the length of the tubes only being 8 feet....... I spent more time taking it apart than I actually did ( hours wise ) converting it to the Trike....... If I had of known it took this long to strip I would have knocked it out faster,,, Now I have a Harley on the lift and this parer weight in the way,,,,,,,,

    Thanks Larry. With any luck Scotty as one I sent him a PM. The Tree is one from Hannigan, and I am not sure who is making them for them I think it is Max at Traxxion, or they were, and the design changed,,, I have put on 11 or 12 in the past year, and this one fought me to every turn, and of course it is on mine which is good in a way but really frustrating. The stem is about 1/16 too long too and I popped off the top of the top 27 mm Acorn nut The cinch bolts on top are also too long, which meant that I had to cut off 1/4 inch or the faring mount frame bolts on the top bolts, not to mention the mill work on the center hole, and press work for the bushings, now that was an adventure in itself. The closest place that had a press that would do it is a 140 mile round trip I broke a hand press trying to get the bushings out at a local garage ( don't know what that is going to cost me yet ) To say I am a little unhappy with this new design tree would be a complete understatement. I have let them know too.... I feel like Gilligan; a simple 4 hour tree replacement has turned into a life time adventure, but I didn't have the Professor, and Mary Ann to help out.

    I have called a Stealer and it is 77 bucks for the top cap,,, 48 on the net + shipping 15,,, Don't need the top cap, and changing it with the tree top on is out of the question, and imposable at this point, not to mention the miserable hassle it is to get this top off. Pinwall isn't any help either,,, If I could find a trashed front somewhere remotely close I could be in good shape if I could get the valve.

    OOPS I am in trouble now While installing my rake for the Trike I broke off an air schrader valve on the top of a fork.:mad: I really don't think there was any air in it/them, but that isn't the problem. The problem is where to find just the schrader valve. Does anyone have one that is in their tool box that some how came up as a spar,,, In short HELP !!!! I know Dumb Ass Move?!! but if you knew the hassle I have had with this triple tree you would understand. Mill work, and fit of this new design sucks.

    Run over to PPV I think it is there close to you; The big RV place on the freeway. Get an Atwood Leveling jack stand, They used to be about 20- 25 bucks.

    RichG I will trade you my CB cable and mount for yours, It is like Monty has on his, and I need to go back to the stock ant for the Trike body setup,,, Easy to change out too.

    Having the rear end off: Yes indeedie : That is why it is a two day job to retro one into the trike frame. If the tabs aren't there for the tank ( any trike made before the last two months ) they will have to be welded to the frame. Then the fitting starts. Mine here is a new kit ( first with the aux tank out of proto-type ) that I spent the last 5 days putting together, and the good part is that tomorrow afternoon I get to take it all back apart to take the body, and running boards to the paint shop, along with the fairing, tank , trunk etc:etc.....     Keith, I am sending Hannigan photos of how I re-routed the fuel line to the right side, and put the check valve where it could be accessed if need be. As it comes they want the fuel line to come though an existing hole with a plug in it on the left side just above the Positive terminal of the battery, and the check valve is behind the frame ( with the amount of line that was supplied ) I replaced the fuel line with a slightly longer piece and routed it to the right side of the seat about the same location. The hole is the same size as the hose, and makes a good friction fit. There is more room, and space for it on the right side, and makes for easer access to the positive post if you have things hooked up. I will call Brad tomorrow to check to be sure that he has the photos of how I routed the fuel line, he is the one that will most likely be doing the tank install for you. I am also going to see if there is supposed to be a gasket under the filler,, I am not fond of the fit without a gasket ( a bit of a gap between the body, and filler ) I put 4.5 gal in the tank to check it out yesterday, and it works great, and transfers fast too. I did not fill the tank all the way up, and think it will hold 5 gal.     If this thing was out of paint, and the rake was on,,,You don't know how tempting that sounds... Tuesday I will run it by the paint shop to give them a look at how it looks all together, and the lines of it together, and come back to the shop and strip it all off, and take it to them in boxes..... I just hope I don't loose any of the baggies of screws, and bolts. Then the waiting begains.....

    Got the gas filler cap, and tour pac back on to test ride and check the gas tank out.     If some one had done the single antenna conversion, and removed the mount on the left side, that is what i am needing. The mount arm is here, and un-modified, but the cable, and base mount was changed to a non-Yamaha type mount.
