  10. I have a 2006 RSV with 50k. Over the past two years I have been getting brave, reading on this forum a lot, and have been doing my own work on my bike. Last year I had my bike to the shop one time for a valve adjustment and had my spark plugs replaced. I have been doing a lot of work on my bike the last two weeks and ready to change my spark plugs and can't find my wrench. What size/type of socket do I need to change my plugs?
  11. Thanks guys - you were correct about the picture size and I am following instructions on how to flush from forum. I believe it says to use distilled water.
  12. AWESOME - thanks guys!!!! I figured I would replace them - thanks for the link with part #!!!
  13. I have a 2006 RSV 50k miles. I am in the process of flushing my cooling system. Following directions from service manual and step by step directions from this forum. As always the directions are fantastic! I removed the cylinder side covers and noticed under the forward cylinder cover, a small radiator fluid leak coming cylinder drain plug. This was a bit of a surprise to me as I have not had any issues all last riding season. I have only ridden twice in the months of December, and January (Ohio weather!), and have been using down to do some upgrades and maintenance. Should I replace the plug, is this a larger problem?? Any thoughts and or comments would be greatly appreciated! Tried to upload a pic but the upload failed!
  14. Looked at the bazooka amp only for $259 then found this link. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?p=365356#post365356

  17. Has anyone every added a power amp to their soundsytem? I have a 2006 RSV 52,541 miles. I removed the tape deck a few years ago and upgraded to polk 401 speakers. I mainly listen to my iphone while on the road.
  18. Great info - thank you!
  19. Has anyone used this kit http://www.motorcyclehidxenonlights.com/Yamaha-Royal-Star-HID-Xenon-Lights/? Looking for an HID kit for my 2006 RSV 51,000 miles. I have factory bulb and factory passing lamps intalled as well. Would love to uprade my headlamp and bulbs in my passing lamps and as always welcome any and all input. Noticed the instructions for HID Xeon bulbs say to turn the bike on before the headlamp. I am also looking for help/instructions on how to do this. As soon as I turn the key on my bike the head lamp comes on.
  20. Thanks - Pinwall has a bunch for around $300!
  21. Upgraded with parts from PCW - honestly this was very easy to do with the pictures/instructions on this forum. Can't believe how much better the bike is running!!
  22. Thanks for all the responses. My trusted dealer found the short was the amp. He said there is a common ground at the amp? Anyway unplugged power for amp and bike works as normal!
  23. I have a 2006 RSV with 43,133 miles. Has anyone installed any type of aftemarket radio and or radio/amp? My amp is toasted and the cost for a new one is $1,300. I found several on ebay for around $300. I dont use the CB, I have removed the cassette deck, added a port for my iphone in the faring, and I also removed my plugs for the intercom. Basically all I use are the radio and Aux for my iphone. I have found several marine grade radio's with built in amps etc....just wondering if anyone might have some suggestions on aftermarket stuff.
  24. Gave up - taking to Dealer to try and figure it out. Has to be either starter switch or relay.
