  1. So, what do you think? Is the new XOG that much better, or just a bit different? Does anyone have one? All I know is what I read on the forum. It has less battery life and some issues to resolve. But plugged in to 12v, shouldn't matter, right? Steve
  2. They're pulling it back home, same as we are. I see it all the time. Big deal!!! Get over it Steve
  3. Congrats, but please, no spandex shots. Steve
  4. OMG-----------That's gorgeous! Takes ya back to real motorcycles. I'm gonna have to check them out. I have said that my 05 RSTD looks like a 49 Indian-------Absolutely not true----need that front fender, and lots of leather. Steve
  5. Hey Orrin, Funny how this post came up, I am putting my passing lamps on this aft. (stop over) Anyway, I had a question, so I went over and looked at yours. He said he only has a couple hours left on your bike. Looked like your fender and something else, painted on the bench. Anyways, probably will be a PITA, but with feet of snow and tons of salt, nothing better to do. One other thing, ANYONE jump in here------ If I run my power (red) wire to a relay and fuse it, is there a path that any of you would recomend? (through the headlight?)-----------05 RSTD Thanks, Actually should thank DON here for providing such a GREAT search function!!!!!!!!!!!! Steve

  13. Jeez Kurt, Really sorry to hear that you are hurt. The bike too------ I'm only an hour north of you, and I can't remember when the roads were in worse winter driving conditions. Hope you heal fast, and good luck with the bike. Steve
  14. Illinois, among some other states, has a 'restriction' that we consider unsafe. And, why shouldn't we know what this is? Steve

  17. Cool articles for sure.--------Don't see him talking about one of those plastic 1st gens though. Motorcycles just weren't meant to be PLASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!! And I even have one---:rotf: Not for long though. Steve
  18. Well, Kurt, I'll jump in here. I can't help you with your problem, although someone mentioned that by opening up the screws under the brass plugs by 1/4 turn that would help with the popping, but that might be on the 2nd gen bikes. I have an 86VR and an 05 RSTD and plan on popping off those brass caps and turning mine open by 1/4 turn before spring on the RSTD. I did put on a pair of HD, RK, drilled out slashcut mufflers on the RSTD. On my 86VR, I never noticed it popping. BTW, I live in Sauk City and have a cousin and sister in Janesville. Well have to get together sometime this summer for sure. Good Luck, Steve
  19. Tour Deluxe, I don't think that I understood what you are saying. I have a 05 RSTD and as we know has no audio stuff, so are you saying that you are listening to an Ipod through your headset? If so, where is your Ipod? I know someone who stuck his to the side of his helmet. (Ipod) Steve
  20. I agree, the trip would be a great gift, so if any of my very close friends here want to send me on this trip, please do it right away before I get sell my 1st gen VR. The movie would be OK I guess. Steve
