  1. When I first got my bike, I felt the same way, but this year I tried some different positions, and now I have them where I think that they feel good. Maybe you just need to try some more positions. Good Luck anyway you go, Steve
  2. My condolences to his family and friends. Steve
  3. I could ride down in a week. this weekend is booked, but weekend after I could go. I have an 05 RSTD and would like one for myself. I'll check him out on ebay. Steve I just contacted him, so I'll let you know how this is going to work out. BTW, I do not have the stock seat, have a studded mustang. But he should be able to work around that.
  4. DITTO Steve
  5. That's a good idea. I think that every store in town has these bags now. Seems like two might just be a good fit. Steve
  6. I understand why you wouldn't forget the canadian rockies. I did that trip on a bike once. Absolutely spectacular! Glad to hear that you had such a great time, Steve
  7. Look in the front of the right muffler. There will be a cat in there. Not a problem to drill out, just get a long, (aircraft drill bit) 12", approx, say 1/4" drill bit and drill a series of holes around the OD of the cat, then from the back, get a steel rod or pipe and punch it out, not a big deal, then drill out the baffles with a,(i think) 1 1/8" hole saw, Ya gotta do this part first. You will love it. Steve
  8. I have the stock pads in the front of my 05 RSTD and don't notice any of what you are describing. I can grab a handful of front brake, and no grabbing. They are noisy though. Plan on replacing them this winter. Must be the pads he put in. Steve
  9. ------------That all of US old farts are opinionated----- Steve
  10. I guess that my second comment on this subject is: Will my uninsured part of my insurance now go down? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO That's the part that I'm waiting for. Steve
  11. Gee, I never would have guessed---- Steve
  12. Considering that the site is basically a bunch of old farts, (me included) with some new young folks thrown in, this conversation is nothing short of amazing. Why does anyone care who is first or second? I heard this years ago, sitting in a bar one night talking with another biker. "The best bike is the bike you like"---says it all---- Nothing could make me happier than to add on one stall to the garage, move the boat over and add a couple of harleys to the two Yamahas, and the Honda. Life is good, Enjoy, Steve
  13. Where do you come up with this stuff? How about we sit around the fire, drink, laugh, and watch you eat them, then laugh some more? I'll pass too, Steve
  14. You guys gotta call me when your going out riding again. Went out myself--Took the 650 in the morning and the RSTD in the aft. Actually headed east, out your way. Steve
  15. Yes to this, Steve

  20. Calperin, Thanks for the offer, but I have a short one, I'm looking for the stock height. Steve
