  1. Just watched the local news and they said that Madison had the same problems. In fact, this morning I stopped at the stop light near my place (we have two) and was watching the lights going the other direction (90 deg) to see when they turned yellow and noticed that the red light was covered with snow. When it did finally change from green to yellow to red, you/they could NOT see the red light. That would be a big heads up knowing that the people coming from the other direction would NOT see the red light. Steve
  2. I'm an hour and a half west of you, flyingfool, and I've got your 8-14"!!!!!!!!!!!, and it's still coming down. Along with the high winds. My body is in pain after two hours of digging out this morning. I'm thinking a tom and jerry and a wirlpool would do the trick. I'd post a pic, but we all know what it looks like. Steve

  15. Upon closer examination my poor old scoot was covered by about a 1/8 inch thick layer of.......................................... frost. Well, that's what you get, living next to Lake Michigan. No frost here last night. I'm heading over to Jackson this morning, just north of you, but I'm taking the KLR. Picking up some winter ice fishing gloves. Should be great on the bike. Nice big gauntlets. Wind proof, waterproof. I'll let you all know how they work out on the bike. I'm always looking for a good cold weather glove, and have yet to find one. Going to Frabil. Maybe one of the last nice days to go for a good ride. Steve

Greg, What a great post. Thanks:clap2: How cool is it to have the opportunity to trade bikes and compare. This will give us all something to think about. I run a nexen on the rear and a HD rear on the front, and ride it like a cruiser. No wobble. Steve
  21. Every time I drag my floorboards my heart skips a beat. Traction is definately not a issue with a Ct. Couldn't have said it better. Steve
