    Just got in, and my two lane road (hwy #71 south) idea was good, but got long, so switched to the I road towards the end, somewhere west of LaCrosse. Good trip home though. Ran into a little rain in southern Min, but not much.. Another great PIP, Thanks to Gary and Anne, and of course the chef, Owl. I think that I'll always remember Owls quote " I wonder what the poor people will be eating this weekend." Steve

    Hey Bill, Congrats on getting the bike. Before I saw that you bought it, I was going to say that it's Sept and prices should/are going down every day here. Be sure to sign up for one of the wisconsin technical school motorcycle courses. Good course and good price. There should be one near you. Steve

    If you want to Borrow one, I can put my stock seat off of my 05 RSTD in my trailer and bring it up on Fri. if it will fit the venture. I do want it back though. Let me know. Steve

    Be sure to take the drive pins out and clean and grease them also. You have to remove the clip first. Steve

    I'm gonna have to check out the "Land of Dan" Sounds like a dream ride vacation to me. Actually I went through there once on a family vacation, and I bought a turkey box call from a guy that had a sign out by the road. I remember the small curvy roads well. Steve

    I like that. After I looked at the link, I had to go out and look at my bike/engine. That looks sharp. And if you do it and don't like it, it's easy to black the bottom back out. Steve

    2up, wanting to see the sights, I'd go mid Aug, back 6 weeks later, end of Sept. But, I'd go the opposite way around, through Canada first and then back up through Chicago last. That way you would go through the Canadian Rockies at a better time. Might be the way to go at that time of year. Sounds fantastic to me. Have a great time. Steve

    I have had a tomtom on my RSTD and just last week mounted a garmin. But I'm getting ready to head out on my bike for the weekend. I'll post some pictures with a how I did it next week. Steve

    I wake up this morning you hear of you and Lowell. Not a good start to my day. I'll be thinking about you two today while I'm riding. Don, I'm very sorry to hear of your what is happening now to your eye. Yikes, how could a needle in the eye (or 4) possibly feel good? You take care of yourself, and I know that you will. Steve

    It always takes longer to heal than to hurt yourself. Ain't that the truth. Healing up always takes too long, but like you say, you still have all of the pieces, and that's a good thing. Hope ya heal up good, Steve

    Well, Bubber left about a half hour ago, he was the last one to leave but stuck around to help me clean up and get the boat and stuff back in the garage. It seemed like a good turnout. I think there were about 16 bikes or so here After the last two days it's pretty quiet around here. But I'd just like to thank everyone who came for making it a great weekend with some good friends. I'd like to thank Flyinfool and FJR for spending a lot of time wiring my new gps and driving lights, and adding a fuse panel and ground panel. It's a thing of beauty. But I do feel bad that Jeff didn't get done to his bike what he wanted. Too busy helping other people-What a guy! and those polish sausage? WOW Ride safe, Steve

    One thing you should all know-Garage is on the alley, pull around to the back I hope they sell Leinenkugel Red in Sauk City.     Yup, you got the wrong tire. You need to talk to who you bought it from. But even then, the 404WWW does NOT look like that picture. The tire in the picture looks like a gangster tire. Good luck, Steve
