  1. So Randy, were you on time for work this morning? :rotf: Sleep in:whistling: Steve
  2. There are good stories and there are great stories, and that is a great story, Thanks for being able to tell it. I know what you mean about being glad it was you and not your son. And I'm glad you are OK. I know that you are bummed about the bike, but you also know there are is another one out there waiting for you. It's good, once in a while to run into a situation where you have renewed faith in humanity. I also had it happen to me last weekend. I had stopped on a back road to put my ear buds in, and had a motorcycle, truck and two cars stop to see if I needed help. Steve
  3. I don't even want a repeat of last year's fiasco. :yikes: OMG NO! Believe me Bubber, none of us want to witness anything like that again. And to think that this year you would do it in front of your wife. The sounds coming from the outhouse will haunt us forever:shock3: Steve
  4. and Bulgogi to go with the kimchi
  5. #1--Johnsonville brats on a Sheboygan hard roll, potato salad, baked beans, chips and of course a beer. #2--Fresh sweet corn, butter dripping down my elbows, venison burger with sweet vidalia onions, and of course a beer. #3-- BLT with tomatos from the garden, chips, and of course a beer. #4--Out on the bike, buiskets and sausage gravy, and COFFEE. Steve
  6. 4 and a wake up for me---But then again, I'm coming from a different country. Hey, you gettting there before dark this year? Steve
  7. All rev'd up and no place to go! That's how I always feel when I've got a week before I head out on the bike. Anyways, I'll be on the road early fri am. Maybe I'll meet up with someone on the way. Hey Owl, hear anything from RED? Bummer, sent you a pm. Steve
  8. Not only is Goose 100% correct, but think about it this way: You've spent many thousands of $ on the bike, plus all of the acc. including riding gear, and a HD pump is 40-50 bucks, and all you have to do is go to a HD dealer and pick it up. When you do, you will understand. Good luck, Steve
  9. Now, THAT is the real you! Hope Vetesnics has one, I'm heading over there this morning. I've seen the write ups and it's a beauty. Yup, the base price is one thing, but the farkles, couln't even imagine how much a guy could drop into that thing. Steve
  10. So, SaltyDog, what are YOUR plans. other than to stay safe, Steve
  11. Might be a good place to ask this, and don't mean to hijack the thread, but what is the difference between the stock teeth and the I basket teeth? Steve
  12. Just an update on the link to register and find out about "PORK IN THE PINES" http://www.porkinthepines.com/ BTW Juggler, great job on the website. I was looking forward to seeing you again this year. Steve
  13. Yup, it was good seeing you Bubber. Notice how I stuck up for you? Did you notice any difference with air in your rear shock? I keep looking for the registration page???????? I think that I registered, but not sure. Who's coming? List? See you all in a week or so. I'll be making the baked beans again. I'll leave here on fri. early and then decide which city I am riding through, twin cities or Duluth, hate going through both. but I'll pick one. Steve
  14. First I've seen it. Never would have noticed if you had'nt pointed it out. Very Cool, It's those little things you do, Don. Thanks, Steve
  15. Hey Bubber, me and Yooper will be listening for you to come squeeling up, Oh that's right, we can't hear either. See you tomorrow, Steve
  16. Monty, Shake your son's hands for me and thank them for their service to our country. I hope that they stay out of harms way, and I'm looking forward to you telling us that they are back home with their family. Steve

  18. Wishing the best for Ponch. Steve
  19. I happen to have a 2005 RSTD, and the reason that I bought it was because it didn't have all of that stuff like fairing, tour trunk, and everything else that makes a bike top heavy. Seems if you want all of that, you should just go and buy a Venture. If you want a RSTD without all of that, you will be getting a bike with lower center of gravity, and handles much differently. Better in my opinion. Good luck in whatever you get, Steve
  20. What a great story, Congratulations to you both. Steve
  21. I've been following this and from what you have said, it didn't slip in 4th, and in fact put thousands of miles on it IN 4th, it did sound like a transmission issue. BUT--That was an awesome video that you took. Best of luck to you in whichever route you take to make it work again. But a kudos to you for making the trip. THAT'S an adventure!! Steve
  22. To answer your original question, yes there is such a thing made, and you can find it here. I bought a couple of them some years back and they do the job. They are called sunblockers and sell for $15.95. You can find them here: http://www.helmetheadcycle.com/product/1/the-original-helmet-sunblocker-sun-shield-visor-universal Steve

Now that Wisconsin has finally passed a CC law, (effective Nov 1 2011) I may be in the market for a good CC gun. Next month they are supposed to release the "training" requirements to get the CCL. I will be taking whatever is necessary ASAP. Don't shoot your eye out.
  25. I'd turn in an insurance claim. You have fans down there? Steve
