  1. Except that the sign up window is no longer there.
  2. Some of you have met Yooper and he's planning on riding with me to the International next year, but---------- on Sept 22 at 5:00pm in the UP of Michigan, he had a run in with a deer on his 89VR. He has no idea what happened to the deer, and he has no memory of that day. The only way he knows that a deer was involved was the guy following in a car said so. We joked about if someone got to eat it. I visited him the other day, and he is doing very good with the exception of his right foot. He must have slid down the road on the right side with the bike on top of him and ground off the top of his right foot. He has had two surgeries to add shark cartilage to get his toes looking/healing so he can have skin grafts. From his head to toe, was black and blue and tore up. Hard to look at the pictures. The plastic surgury is supposed to happen this friday. We bummed all over on Monday and went and looked at the bike, which he hadn't seen yet, and it didn't look all that bad. The right side plastic and windshield is junk along with some other things, but he has a spare bike, same color and new plastics also, so he will get it going again over the winter. I saw his textile jacket and half helmet and the jacket was shredded on the right shoulder/side. The helmet actually didn't look all that bad, however without it, there is no doubt he wouldn't be here today. His right boot is shredded beyond belief! But, a month later and he has a great attitude and physically is going very good. The foot will be a while, but he has all winter to heal. He's got lots of friends looking out for him at home too. I didn't say anything here before, but he said that it was OK to let you all know.
  3. Here is one thing that I noticed, maybe everyone else already know this, but--------- If you click on the first date of the international rally, as an example, you will see everyone who has signed up, but if you click on any other date of the rally, you will not see who has signed up. Just thought I'd pass that on. See you all there,
  4. I'm with Mike, 100%
  5. Holy Moly, that red really gets your attention! I was half asleep when I switched back to red. I like the new red. I'm going to try it for a while. Geez Don, do you ever sleep?
  6. I went into my profile and where it asks? City, I added my state to the city, and now it shows up here. Even though it also asks what State, right below that.
  7. State Flag Now, I don't want you up at 2:30am working on this, but I was just bragging on another forum how we had a state flag to show where we were from. Is this something that in the future we will have again? Just wondering.
  8. Jakester, Thanks for the link, I'll get a hold of them next week
  9. How do you add your bike to it?
  10. Yup, got the blue back. my eyes thank you
  11. Thanks Gary, I did try Flanders and couldn't find the one for the RSTD. I do know the part number from searching old threads. Maybe tomorrow I'll give them a call. I also did email Rick at Buckeye, so we'll see. For some reason, this year I notice that a couple more inches in pullback would be a very good thing.
  12. Does anyone know where I can get a set of Flanders bars for my RSTD? I read an old thread where Rick at Buckeye Performance did, but that was 4 years ago. Model# 650-08783
  13. Cowpuc, I'm sorry to hear that you lost your dad. You are in my thoughts. Steve
  14. WOW, were here, and it looks good, Hope you can relax a bit now, Thanks, Steve
  15. If I remember correctly, one of the major concerns is that it is, or will not be supported in the future, so I say, with all of your effort that you have put in to switch it over, finish what you started, and we will deal with our new site. And again, thanks for all of your effort in keeping it here. to say nothing of maintaining it. Steve
  16. That's simply amazing, I can't wait to try it
  17. This time he started with "well since you are still so young and in really great shape" Was he looking at his nurse when he said that? Good news Jeff!
  18. Hey, I have a 2005 RSTD with NO flashers. I couldn't believe it. I'd do it, but not too good with electricity stuff, you know, the stuff that runs like water. Another one of Yamaha's great ideas!
  19. Chaharly, Go up 5 posts and you'll see that Bob has done it. Bob, What is the small black line going down from that pocket? Was that there or did you put it there? Thanks, I got an I basket a couple of years ago and put it in, but it made my whine louder, so after maybe 50-100 miles took it out and it's on my shelf. Steve
  20. I'm with Dan, I'm going for a ride too, but I'm glad to hear that you are getting help with the upgrade. There's only so much a guy can do, right? hope all goes well. Steve
  21. Dang Jeff, Not the news that I was hoping for either. I hope the docs get you the right drugs ASAP to get this under control. Best wishes for you, Steve
  22. Some guys will do anything to get a few weeks off. Walking and chewing gum again huh? Good luck on Friday, and be nice to everyone. You really do want them on your good side. Eagleeye
  23. I saw that last night and knew that whatever it was, it wasn't good. To say that what you do to run this site is appreciated is an understatement. I agree, it seems inevitable. I say do whatever you need to do to make running it easier on YOU. We'll deal with however it ends up. Thanks!
  24. I'd say it's the battery. Switch it out with any battery to check. just because the dealer said it was new, doesn't means it's good.
  25. That was great! Thanks for sharing it. EagleEye
