  1. All very good advice, but with it being September now, I would not be in a big hurry to buy. As you more than likely know, this is a good time to get your best deal, (toward the end of northern riding season) and maybe find one with lower miles/kilometers.
  2. I'm bringing everything I need to make the baked beans including the cooker.
  3. My first job was also a paper boy, probably around 11 yrs old, then moved on to picking thistles in a pea field for the canning factory. Later in high school drove a pea combine. Then at 17 joined the navy.
  4. Awesome video, wish I knew how to do that. Looks like you had a great trip.
  5. As some of you know, I took a trip out west, 6,500+ miles, 12 states, 2 Canadian provinces in 4 weeks. Had every weather you could imagine, short of tornadoes. A big thanks to SilverT for some tips on some great roads up there. Man, I really don't know how you can afford to live up there. Of course met some interesting folks along the way, and camped most of the time. A few motels when they were needed. Have to say though that the first 5,200 miles were two lane with the exception to jump to another road. When I got to ND on the way home is when that ended. I started going through my pictures and when I'm done will post a ride thread. I'm about half way through them now, but really need to clean up the bike and trailer. UGLY! I did take LOTS of pics and even got pretty good at including me in them sometimes. I also need to update my rode on states map. I added 5 more states.
  6. People that ask stupid questions. Yes teachers, there is such a thing as a stupid question. I get asked them all the time.
  7. Stopped by Gary and Anne's last week and she said that because you have such a hard time waking up in the AM, she got some more roosters
  8. Thanks for that article Jeff. I'll keep an eye out to see the outcome. But, what does this mean? In a court document, Polsky said he believes the "going-concern value of the assets" is greater than their liquidation value.
  9. 61 to burlington then 34/6 all the way to Loveland, Estes Park, Grandby, and Winter Park
  10. This past spring I bought a purolator, pure one, PL14612 and it was concave, and installed it with no issues. 2005 RSTD Yesterday I went to buy another one, first at Walmart, not the pure one though, and it was convex, then went to Farm and Fleet and the pure one also was convex, so went to an auto store and the pure one was concave, so I bought it. Got back home and went to the local auto store to get another one, and it was convex. I explained what was going on to the guy and he asked why I didn't just buy the motorcycle oil filter. Purolator Powersports, ML 16817 is the one listed for our bikes, and it is concave, so I bought two, and it says on the box Anti-drain back valve minimizes engine dry start. The regular purolator filters are white, pure one, yellow, and the MC are black. (for what it is worth) Thanks for the great concave/convex pictures. They tell it all.

  17. Congratulations to you both, and I hope that your retirement and traveling will be as great as you hope it to be. Have a blast!
  18. Man, I'm really sorry to see this, and I do hope you are OK.
  19. Good link Joe. So the Randolph, CVS-15 was in a different class as it looks.
  20. Absolutely Gorgeous, and I certainly can see why you would love to keep them both. You know Jonas, I sit here and look at those bikes and shake my head at the details that you put into them, but just now I see something I hadn't before. --The white cover in front of the gas tank on Kristjan's bike-- Painted?
