I replied to a thread a while back about Kenda tires and how good I thought they were. While cleaning the bike this afternoon I was checking out the rear tire and realized why I have a Guardian Angel on my handlebars. I have never seen a Kenda separate before, and wsa surprized that this one had. Does anyone have a suggestion as to why this has happened. I run the rear tire at 40 psi and check it everytime I get on the bike. The DOT on the tire is 2605 and I bought it new in 2006, three years of service and no problems until I found this. Chuckles

Definatly sounds like carpal tunnel syndrome to me. Had that problem all the time till surgery. Now a throttle rocker and a good pair of gloves and no problems. Chuckles

Always use the clutch for take off and stopping. Most of the time don't need it to shift. I have been riding since the early 60's and have not had any problems with hurting the gears or clutch. Just seems easier to me to just shift without the clutch. Also do it without the clutch in all of the standard shift cars and trucks I have had over the years. Chuckles

On my '89 VR I want to replace the radio with an after market model. It is the Jensen model HD5112. I want to hook it up to play thru the speakers and also the headsets. Any ideas? Should I cut off the 5 pin wire from the factory radio and splice it to the aftermarket one and play it thru the amp? Will this get the sound thru the headsets? This radio has inputs for MP3, wma, USB, SD Card, ipod and sat. radio. I really want to use this radio. Any help will be appreciated. Chuckles

Sorry to hear about your wreck. Take your time and heal fully and quickly. Ribs are a real "pain" have had a few myself over the years. As have been stated already U-Haul is the way to go. Pick one up where your bike is and return it in your hometown. Be extra careful with the insurance company, they are a bear to work with. Chuckles

My brother-in-law pulled one in the late '60's all over the states and Mexico. Great conversation starter, and plenty of room for all he carried. Chuckles:12101:

I have just purchased an '89 VR with some fairing and fairing mount damage. Was wondering if the fairing stays from an '83 would work? I can get all the fairing stays from an '83 if they will work. Also need to get the complete fairing. Chuckles:fingers-crossed-emo

OUTSTANDING ESSAY. Being a combat veteran from Vietnam it is great that we still have young people who are still willing to go to the service academies and uphold the tradition of the U.S. military. Chuckles
