Well I found one although its not a mercury manometer. http://store.beemerboneyard.com/carbtune4col.html is $108.95 a good price for a 4 tube manometer?

Like to ride the Interstate at 5mph above with the cruise control on. On backroads normally maintain the speed limit and in towns always maintain the speed limit. I just feel theres a greater chance for an accident, off of the interstate, plus you miss all the scenery. So... yeah, go ahead and pass me... I'll even stop and help ya if you misjudge a curve.

Hey Big Tom , did ya happen to notice where she ordered it from?

Well I got her back together last nite and she fired right up. No leaks. Thanks V7Goose , RSTDdog and everyone else that helped out. After I had carbs back on I decided to depress carb slides and check return action on them before I installed air boxes . One was considerably slower returining. So I tore all four apart, cleaned with carb spray, air hosed off and sprayed with silicone then air hosed off. Also noticed there was 1 washer below needle and one above plastic ring and retaining clip. Does this indicate someone was in there before? I believe I remember reading somewhere that factory settings place both washers above plastic and retaining clip and that you should either purchase another washer to place below or move one from above to below. like it is now. Anyway, all four returns at the same rate now. Perhaps that is why my throttle was hanging up(the slow carb slide) when reved as it dosen't seem to be doing it now. Next step is to tune the carbs... Anyone here in WV in posession of a carb tune device with the know how and is willing to show me how to use it?

I'd rather see a POLE tournament.... Ladies only in the competition....

Seriously though, I'd have to say fried tater cakes: mashed potatoes 1 egg 1 table spoon flour chopped onions mix well and fry in skillet sprayed with canola oil (pam) till golden brown Yummie!
-
Well... I'm surprised no one has said this, but my favorite left over is... BEER! ESpecialty on a NFL SUNDAY. Sometimes I have to mix up with other brands, because of friends comming over, but normally stick with Michelob! Go STEELERS!

Race didn"t really say anything to me. With enough money and mods you could make a quad do 90+. Although I wouldn't want to be the one with that short of a wHeelbase... I like my skin & bones just where they are... I'd like to see a stock to stock, verified at peak performance with 89 octane and switch bikes to take rider experience out of the equasion. That venture bogged in at least one of the videos (towards the end) on the start.

28 degrees F and I am still commuting on my bike
CaptainJoe replied to KiteSquid's topic in Watering Hole
Put some cat crap on them... No i'm not kidding, or, go to any place that sells anti fog formulas, cat crap is one of them. Ski resorts sell em and so do major sporting good retailers. -
Not me... If I want to get that high I'll just go to the local airport and rent a cessna...
-
zooer, I was just jesting anyway... I'm Getting a bit punchy here watching it snow. Guess I'll go out and try to bag that 10 point that has been alluding me for the past month...
-
MMMMMM Maybe... I'd like the one with the air bag. In my experience Yamaha and Honda both make excellent metric bikes. Honda's just way more expensive... Can't help this feeling that ZOOER is fishing around for a bite to get someone here to trade bikes. Originally Posted by Sylvester I do not want to stoke the fires. I ride a lot of miles a year and my new Ultra left me stranded in Dalla, TX at 1900 miles. Under warranty they replaced the stator. At 3100 miles it left me stranded in the Poconos, but they fixed it under warranty (stator). At 4900 miles I was left on the side of the road in St. Louis, MO (stator) but it was fixed under warranty. At 5800 miles I was again on the side of the road in Raleigh, NC (stator) but they repaired it under warranty. Guess what! At 7800 miles it left me on the road in my own town Charlotte, NC (stator). The dealer I bought it from would not come get it-I had to pay to get it to him. All the other times the dealers came and got the bike. The dealer told me it would be three weeks (what the F***). All the other HD dealers had me out at least overnight. "My sealing dealer had to build bikes for Myrtle Beach" is what I was told. Now after all this...do you think I would keep this machine and ride it cross country? Hell NO. I got it fixed at another dealer and trailered it to a seller and told him to get rid of it. I now have 135,000 miles on an 02 Royal Star Venture and never had a problem...not one. What I'd really like to know is did the shops replace both the stator and voltage regulator? I've heard one, can take the other out and that they should be replaced together. 5 stators, going bad would indicate something other than the stator being the main culpret. Just my 2 cents.

I'm quite sure cell phone signal blockers and Jammers exist. Too bad they can't discriminate and just block non 911 calls. Also not sure if they are legal... But... I have been tempted to buy one more than once
-
If your driving a uhaul truck I'd be tempted to rent a trailer for your bike and ride your bike back thru the southern states... that is... If ... this had been two weeks ago or three months from now... It would be a long, cold ride currently... Could she wait a couple months?

When I made the comment that "YOU" should do something about things YOU see, I did not under any circumstance mean that one try to force someone off the road or take matters into their own hands. I ment that you should call 911 as these calls are recorded, and, the police always respond to these calls, unless they have more important matters and cannot get to it. If one is weaving from one side to the other, you don't know what their mental state is, wether they are intoxicated, a domestic assult is in progress, they are high, falling asleep, or are having a heart attack. I personally would stay back a safe distance flash my lights a couple of times and call 911. Better to be behind them than in front and you definately don't want to be beside them, your just endangering yourself and your passenger(s). BE SAFE...
-
Good for all of YOU. It's good citizens get involved and make a difference. Call 911 after dropping back and getting a good description of the driver, vehicle and tags on the vehicle along with road and location. Use to let them go and blame it on "wheres a cop when you truly need one" but as I got older/wiser, came to the conclusion that if YOU, and I mean "YOU", don't do something about a situation you see, YOU have no right to complain about it. For those of YOU, that may have just saved someones life, I for one say, THANK YOU!
